Loved watching this from US. You are inspirational. How often do you do pantry stock up ? Every 2 weeks? My household is only 2 these days. Look forward to your household product stock up. I have decluttered unused items and arranged my kitchen differently as I've aged. Not so easy to look on back of deep kitchen cabinets these days ! Your meal looked delicious.
Thank you so much. We restock two months but of course, we do top up some things fortnightly especially beans, canned mushrooms and milk. The refrigerator is stocked weekly as most of our meals are the fresh produce plus some ingredients from the pantry. I am making so many changes with age. It’s what I need to do to keep the family fed without breaking my back. So welcome to the club, my friend!

Lucky you!! I don’t have one at all. I have a galley kitchen (one counter), a window above my sink a set of cabinets on either side of the window, and one cabinet below, and ofc the space under the sink.😩😩😩 You don’t even want to know how the stove & refrigerator sit😅

I wouldn't have even bought this house except it was a move during the pandemic, my husband was the only one to see it, and it was a state everyone was buying a home in. House would go on the market and they'd have 6 offers by the end of the day. It was crazy. In fact this was the 5th house we'd put an official offer in on (tried for others to be told they'd already accepted an offer that came in an hour after it went on the market).
Tbh, this wasn’t a pantry. It was a maid’s room. Live in foreign maids are a thing in Asia. Since, my helpers come for a few hours each time, I repurposed this room. What is now my laundry room, was a dingy bathroom also for the maid. We rebuilt all of that to create this space I can enjoy working in.
I have had homes without pantries and used a cabinet or an add on island just outside the kitchen. The reason we moved back to this old home, is that it gives us the space to accommodate all of us and give me the space I needed. As much as I preach vertical storage, it becomes more difficult with age to stretch and bend, so horizontal work and storage helps.
Your videos are a visual treat. I don't know how much of it is practical in regular households, but you are so meticulous and organized....amazing..
