No way its been 13 years!? I remember watching this when it said 1! Happy I didn't fully remember just how top quality the animation and lighting is here, it was such a surprise from my faded memory. I really miss this era of lego animations on YT, things have changed a ton now. Glad this short still standing here like a stone pillar though. Still fantastic as it was over a decade ago!

You know what, this is one of if not the only best animation in a brickfilm. The animation + lighting makes this a masterpeice. 24 frames per second is hard and to see a person make a 8 MINUTE video SHOT AT 24 FPS is so darn respectable. Also the animation tells the story perfectly. I actually turned the volume down and showed to my friend (who didn't see this brickfilm) and he understood everything perfectly. You are probably the Best brickfilmer I've ever seen cause of this.

This film is an absolute masterpiece. I constantly find myself forgetting that this is stop motion because it is so smooth. I also love the opening scene with the scorpions.
This is probably the most perfect stop motion film I have ever seen. I remember watching this a lot when I was a kid but as an adult I appreciate all the hard work and effort it took to make this.

My dream is a recreation, or at least a different inspired creation, of LEGO Sandy Bay from LEGO Racers 2. A LEGO island, with a backdrop, with a little LEGO town and beach. Even if it was against a wall or something.

Mobdeli, oh my god, I just saw an lego pyramid in like insta. IMMEDIATELY made me remember this animation, god I haven’t seen it in what feels like 10 years, my favorite of ALL TIME. There’s no topping this I loved it then and I’m still in love with it now. INCREDIBLE WORK

thanks so much! the blue sky is a painted piece of wood that i lit evenly from below/above. and the sand is just sand, lol definitely try it
