Hope you guys are enjoying the new channel so far, we are absolutely loving making this kind of content and having so much fun with it! Some of our future videos include Milling timbers for future projects, how to use/repurpose wood chips, and the very next video coming out soon is about how we remove stumps! Rock on guys, thanks for all the support thus far!!
Just found your channel today, great work. I have a small tree service business. I use the same model lift just like yours only a 55 foot model. Would love to have a 65 footer like yours. I rent my lift at this point. It’s a great way to safely take down most trees. It makes the jobs go so much faster. You should make a cradle for your saw and mount it to the side of the basket. Makes it so much better than having to put saw down all the time…. Keep up the videos
Enjoy watching your video. Love working with anything that you process wood with. Worked at a sawmill for 33 year. Cut fire wood for 35 years. You guy’s work well together.
Had a good laugh watching you trying to mulch the crown of that Spruce haha. Super sick prospective watching Brandon on the lift too! Glad you guys are both enjoying the profession, job satisfaction in a key! Thanks for sharing 😎
That was hilarious but also very interesting. I have always enjoyed watching the process of taking trees down when we had a few removed from the property. Kind of like taking a puzzle apart. Very interesting, thanks for new insight on this. Didn’t realize the chipper took such large pieces. Guess I will be learning lots here.😘
Great channel, I spent 6 years in Alberta and BC logging before moving back to Newfoundland. So love seeing the chain saws. Did you every try wrap around handle bars to me it was the best thing every made I will never go back to just the handle bars on one side. Makes using a chain saw a lot easier.
This is so great for you and I am excited for you both. Thank you for sharing your latest adventures (even though this has been Brandon's full time job) It is new to us!
Sorry Careena but watching you struggle with that tree top was hilarious! Maybe it was the voiceover you guys did during that portion that made it so funny but I was definitely lmao. Can't wait to see where the TimberMates channel goes. Awesome video, I like the channels new name as well.
Awesome video! Was cool watching from Brandon's view too on this one. Will you be filming the stump removal? Feel like that would be really interesting to see how that's done....especially since I have two I need remove of my own lol
This was a fun (and funny) video. The only other time I remember you giving up on something you wanted to do is when you tried to get Grizz to pull a sled. HHaHaHa! He's as stubborn as you are Alexis! Liked and subscribed.
Never thought I'd be so impressed with a chipper! Makes our tiddly garden one look pathetic, the smallest branch clogs it up, but yours swallows a mahoosive trunk (well, when you don't trip the gate ;) ) like it was a piece of spaghetti!
That's quite a project on that tree..Wasnt sure she was going to get that top in the chipper..lol Great idea buck the log into length so the machine could lift them, looks like by the size of the chips your cutters were getting dull.. I've used tongs before, gotta have a good operator as I've seen guys get knocked right off a cold deck before, almost dangerous as careful as one is around them.. Great video ..
Hey Norman, thanks for the comment. I go pretty slow when lifting and the chipper knives were just turned so I should get another 80 hrs on them before they need to replaced or sharpened
