Ok guys, for those of you that don't know al-a-re la-ye al-a-re la-yo is slang in Japanese. That entire line is slang in fact. It doesn't translate very easily into English but the closest i can think of is "that is how it is, that is how things always have been and always will be" but more like "that's how i am" kind of "that's how it is". Like i said the slang doesn't translate very well but i thought I'd tell everyone what it meant
Edit: i literally live in Japan. I think i know what we say. Whether the slang term came from the song or not, it won't change the FACT that we use it and that's what it means

@@johnstuartmill7254 the instruments are chinese. The lyrics or what they originally say is japanese. It was composed by a Japanese. Search up the original song its voiced by a vocaloid that speaks japanese. It's not an old song it was composed in 2001 or around 2006 I dont remember.

I can't say how I know, but I think it's the sound of the plucked string instruments that sound very different. In Chinese music it is very high pitched short plucks I think. I can tell when I listen to them somehow.

Yanfei Xie The type of stringed instruments played are Chinese. One is the erhu, the loudest instrument. The style of the music is also traditional Chinese. It's easier to tell when you've listened to some of it. Look it up, you definitely won't regret it.
