    I think a good short idea is an explanation of why anti-caking agents like sodium ferrocyanide are added to commercial table salt instead of just pure sodium chloride for example.

    I could be wrong, but wouldn't molecular orbital theory provide a satisfactory answer as to why N2 is so stable when other molecules with triple bonds vary wildly in stability?

    • @Calandron1
      @Calandron1 2 місяці тому

      VESPER helps. I do see a massive issue with his take on reactivity though. In none of the other examples does the tripple bond consume all of the availible bonding sites, and accordingly, any analysis regarding reactivity has to take into account additional, non-tripple bonds.
      Like if you have hydrogens hanging off the end of the molecule (as seen in C2H2), they are going to to be orders easier to react with than the tripple bond itself. Otherwise Acetylene would be nearly innert.

    you must be nearsighted because i noticed you removed your glasses for the rubber band demonstration, which i thought was pretty odd considering you'd want to keep glasses on for that but if you had you probably weren't able to see them as well, thus removing them, thus meaning you're nearsighted 😂
