absolutely love the addition of boundaries and politeness, hhahahha, 13 years apart, even though they still love each other, but not sure how the other feels, so they are doing all these careful looks and dropping double meanings to test water
... This hit harder, much harder because it felt very REAL. What happened is really unfortunate and made my heart hurt. However, what MADE it "impressive" is how Pleng faces every adversity landed her way in euch a grounded yet optimistic way. Stuff like not wanting to be indebted to others or not become a mistress shows how she was raised and even with all the BD thrown at her she still remained strong headed and I find that truly admirable. This might be the best character written by Chao Planoy yet imo! Also, you could see how it affected Wan, as Pleng pointed it as well. Yet you can still see how she's grown as well and thus, the 13 year time skip didn't feel to drastic of a shift and especially done in a way that felt very realistic. Though unfortunate what happened, life works in weird ways.
