    Of course señor Quintero!!!! You have to keep them, what other choices are there. Will you be adding late-breds to the team eventually?
    Love the stories. Love that you translate for latinos too!Love the videos!!

    I would put the feed in before you leave for trainer & stay away they will learn to get back to the loft quicker without waiting for you to feed them

      Agree with you. That is waht I do. Now I am putting just a portion in case some birds come later and everyone eat equally. Thanks for the advice

    Great progress! For 5 mile tosses, I think it may be too short for them. Once they know where the home is, they just fly around before coming home. You may want to use your GPS ring now. If they have no problem locating the home direction and just fly around, you can safely increase the distance.

      Yes, I will start using the ring. I am going to 9 miles tomorrow

    You doing excellent.
    I’m way behind is just life throwing a curve ball sometimes .
    I’m getting my out to my first toss this week it is very hot for the next 3/4 days so I may take it easy on them I got them on a open loft for seven days now the hawks are killing them left and right but they got to go so far they got seven birds but I have no choice.
    Take care.

      Wow, that is crazy with the Hawks. Hopefully, this year, we get a hard winter, and most of them die, as they usually do. I am not sure if I will be ready for the 1st race, but I will try without rushing the birds. Good luck

      @@quinteroloft9530 Is no way to race till the end of August for me we see how it goes.
      Yes we had very mild winter so none of the hawks perished I hope they don’t kill any more of my birds I just stay outside with them just so the hawks stay away.
      Good luck to you what ever you decide to do .

      Thanks. Try more barley and reduce the amount of feed. They will probably fly faster and avoid the hawks.

    hi greats videos, wanted know what kind of feed do you use for your YBs? do you mix anything with your feeds? thanks

    • @quinteroloft9530
      @quinteroloft9530 11 місяців тому

      I do the Mclaughlin system. I get a regular racing mix, 16% protein, and I mix it with barley. 80% barley, 20% racing mix. I made a video about it

      If you are refering to the same day, when the tosses are short I usually let them loft fly a little and then pick them for a short toss
