If you aren't aware, there's a new show at a dedicated theatre in Wembley. Strongly recommend this, as it's better than the tour due to the race going around the back of you for a more intense experience.
Starlight Express is coming home! The Starlight Auditorium (aka the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre) will be the place to go to see the 2024 Revival of Starlight Express in the UK.
My parents went to see the original London show, bought the LP and that was all we listened to for months. I love it! Wish someone would push Titchmarsh over though
0:47 Kitty: and you soilder! For you to win your girl and the monster highers to brake their curse on draculaura You must beat the undermanned champion of the golf like danger maze Lizzie: NOT YOU
Gonna respectfully disagree with you there. The Broadway designs(as used in Bochum) look more like actual trains, but the London costumes were inclusive of the fact that the characters are toys. Hence all the National Engines being identical but for colour. Also bear in mind that this was some time in the early/mid 90s, costume technology has advanced a lot since then.
Maverick not a word(beyond "I'm sorry, I don't understand" which is the most crucial phrase in any language) but that comment was in German :). German's as close to English as you can get without actually being English, so I managed a GCSE in it despite near-complete ineptitude at languages.
Well, if it's a phrase in Japanese then it's coincidentally identical to the German for "The German costumes are better". I get that you're most likely casually trolling, but just on the off-chance that you aren't, this is a sincere reply.
This show needs to go back on tour in the US, I'd give an arm and a leg for tickets.
Why limiting yourself at just a new American tour, when we can also have an Italian tour?

I can remember seeing the show in Auckland, NZ in 2009. Really enjoyed it.

Aaaaaa I need to see it I wish I was in London rn
Shame they aren’t properly reviving it though. They’ve ruined it with all the awful rewrites and character and song changes 😞
@@Simulacra719I agree, they ruined my man cb and turned him into a money lover and not a psychopathic piece of rolling stock
I’m working in it, watching it tonight looks amazing make sure to come down!
@@archielong9523 wait you mean like you’re working for the show or?
The synths in musicals were so much better in the 80s, I wish they'd bring these back.
Me too!
Damn they got no business being double cheeked up like that
🚄🍑😏😫
Oh
Actually, Fr
This has such strong "speed racer" vibes because of the voice of Control.
This song has a badass guitar riff. I love it
Saw this when I was a kid! 10/10 would see again
Saw this in London back in 1987, I believe, when my family and I were stationed in Wales. Great show!!!!!!!
I friggin love these costumes!!!!!😲
I totally forgot about Starlight Express. I was reminded when Moira from Schitt's Creek mentioned she was in the ensemble of it. LOL

I'm jealous he got wheeled in by Pearl

Never realized as a 3 year old how much of an Elvis nod he was

Madeline Wildish You can speak Japanese??

Seal0626 No. I'm pretty sure that's Japanese. I took 2 semesters of Mandarin in high school. I do recognize that dialect.

who is that singing?
This honestly looks and sounds like a Simpsons or Guffman parody. I can't believe people pay money to see dancing, horny trains on roller skates.
Cats is quaking
Some people like to use their imagination. It's fun to have outlandish things to enjoy sometimes.
And I’ll do it again!
The general public: Dude, Cats is unhinged, but I love it!
ALW: Oh you think so? Hold my lager, mate!
