Teamwork by Robert Munsch - Read Aloud Book

In 2007 when I got transferred to the medium security prison of Fenbrook institution. I was so glad to hear about a reading program that was offered to anyone with children. The idea was that, once a month two women named Carla and Beth would come into the prison with stacks of children’s book which you can pick one from and then read the book to your child while Carla records you on a cassette. Carla then takes the recordings and transfers the recording to compact disc and sends it to your child. This whole idea resonated with me because I was already writing my daughter once a month on the 27th. I participated in this program till I won my appeal on the life sentence. I am forever humbled and grateful to Carla and Beth for helping us stay connected to our children. These women were volunteers who chose to do this for us with no hidden agenda. It’s now 2021 and I’ve since started a podcast based off my book 27thletters and now I am starting #27thlettersbedtimestories for all the children in the world. The premise is, my sun Morocco will be reading different children’s book as I once did in prison. These readings will be published on the #27thletterspodcast UA-cam page under the playlist of “Bedtime Stories”. Also, periodically I’ll be reading from my book #27thletters to my children under the playlist “The Letters”. I think it’s a great way to bring it all back in full circle.
