From my where I am I could make those for less than $5 scrap metal... the ones you made are almost your height which are much expensive nowadays.. thanks for sharing your idea Sir, much appreciated
A good example for F clamp made from scraps we can find them around and make them useful tool, better than many times of chinese F clamp that we buy from market. Thanks for sharing your video.
Did the swivel part hold up? Also how well does the clamping force hold up? These are, by far, the most easiest to build bar clamps here on UA-cam. Great video great job..and loads of common Sense. 👍👍
for the vertical bar i wil use schedule 90...do you have to go so thick? i see all these people building bar clamps with 6 inch C channel, thats insane.
You make yours a bit different than other designs I have seen. I really like how you made yours. I think when I powertig my next set of clamps I will do them like yours.
After I bought my first everlast welder and learned how to weld it opened a whole new world for me. You won't be disappointed from learning. You might even get hooked.
did you buy the threaded rod or did you turn it up on a lathe? also what do you call or where did you buy the little cup end piece that you tapped tight with a punch on the threaded rod?
Before I continue watching your vid and reading some remarks, these parts were yours already or you went out to buy them. it doesn't matter, I just wanted to know what they cost you. I'm kinda of new to all this self-made clamp builds. You seem to have all the right parts without showing how you cut them or already conviently had them.
Per Barry Wind's question, if you were making these for a customer, charging for welding time and parts, how does that stack up against those that you can by at Lowe's or Home Depot?
Difficult to answer at once, if i decide to make it for sale i have to calculate everything first. Those clamps I made for my personal use and the result exceeded my expectations.

If you moved the threaded parts yo use to lock the end in place 90 degrees to one side, would the clamps sit better on a table or bench?
👍👍👍.....simple & practicle.
Greetings from Malaysia.

Hi. Please answer question. Were you have this materiels
very good job boy ! congrats
Where do you buy the clamp pads that go on the end of the threaded rod? Also what are they called?
Man those are nice and long. I've gotta learn welding man. There's aworld of great things to do if I learn.
Tony Bryce Perez me too, I'm getting an arc welders for my birthday this year and am going to learn.
After I bought my first everlast welder and learned how to weld it opened a whole new world for me. You won't be disappointed from learning. You might even get hooked.
Absolutely go for it.
I've been a welder for 8 years now, and wish I had more time to weld on my own projects instead of work.
Your imagination is unstoppable!
Thanx for the idea and inspiration. Simple, easy yet great clamps. :)
Top 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯👌👍🤝

did you buy the threaded rod or did you turn it up on a lathe? also what do you call or where did you buy the little cup end piece that you tapped tight with a punch on the threaded rod?
Looks like factory made, probably salvaged from another smaller clamp (broken maybe?)
Good Idea ! Well done !
You need to increase the WELDING AMPS to MAKE WELDING BEAUTIFUL
excellent job! I don't believe famous brand such as Bessey or Pony are any better quality then your.
You clever man!
👍 👍 👍 You could have made the head removable or reversible because the tube will bend with use.
bar clamps have the clamping screw at the bar end so you're not fighting the bar when tightening.
most simplest clamp I've ever seen. great.
Nice home made stuff, must acquire meself a welding kit. Wonderful what you can do with a bit of scrap!

Could weld on a nut and use a drill with a socket chuck to quickly tighten or loosen the clamp.

Excellent. I wish I could make like this too.
Very clever well done
I've got to weld me some long clamps with my powerarc. All of my existing clamps are too short for my next project.
