Hello there, thinking of buying the 278. Could you recommend a foundation brush from the outlet, actually more specifically to apply cream blush? I believe I saw a couple Mizuno MB or CMP
I purchased the 278 and then I couldn't get the 280 out of my head so I made a second order. I skipped looking at the squirrel eye brushes because I almost never use the ones I already have (except canadian squirrel), and I remember seeing that hair pattern on the 271 and just assumed it was pine because of the price. Oh my gosh! If I knew it was canadian I would have picked it up! I was on the website right as the brushes were released. I have regrets! lol. But at least I know to pay more attention and think things through next time. I was in a rush to check out because I had the Chikuhodo fo-10 in my order and there were only 10 available at launch so I was afraid it would sell out in my cart. I haven't gotten any of them yet as my first order isn't scheduled to arrive until Monday, but seeing your video gives me hope that I will love the brushes. I was initially worried about the outlet aspect and potential hair bundling issue. Also, I can relate to what you said about wanting friends and family to experience fude. I've purchased a few of my favorite lower cost brushes as gifts, but the recipients don't quite have the same appreciation for the craftsmanship, hair quality, etc that I do. A brush is a brush to them, even though they like the ones I gave them, they'd never spend more to get an even more luxurious version. So, I agree the outlet is a great option for that.
Congratulations on picking up some brushes! I hope you love them! I know exactly what you mean about being surprised to find out that those were Canadian Squirrel, I almost passed on them too thinking the same. Hopefully CDJ can continue to release more CS brushes. I have regrets for not being on the site right when it launched but with the time zone differences it can be quite challenging. I am just happy I was able to get what I got! The Chikuhodo FO-10 is next on my purchase list. Please let me know how you like your brushes once you recieve them, I really hope you love them and think you will. I was quite impressed by these outlet brushes and plan to place another order next time they do this sale. No one in my personal life shares the same appreciation for fude which is one of the many reasons I am so appreciative of the online community, hugs! ❤❤❤
I loved this unboxing. I’m the same as you, I have a cart with Wishlist brushes in it prepared for only wanting a brush or 2 in these outlet releases. Usually I’m so late that I miss a lot of the items I’d have wanted but this time with the advanced notification from cdjapan I got in at release time. I kinda wish I’d picked both Canadian squirrel eye brushes after seeing how good it looks but I went with just one and ordered the white handle. The shape reminded me a bit of the shapes Koyudo do. I also picked up a cheek brush and a face brush so I’m excited to get them although it will be a couple weeks before I can inbox. It is also great that this release landed on their Sakura coupon event so getting some $ off helps as well.

I’ve often considered ordering from CD Japan, but I’m just a little nervous😬. If you reside in the U.S., were there any surprise taxes, fees, duty or delays getting through customs? What was your shopping experience like with them?
Hi Sheila, I personally have not had any issues ordering from CDJapan. Their website is not as user friendly but other than that I find they have great customer and shipping service. I am in the USA and have never had to pay any taxes, fees, or duties. The duty threshold for the USA is $800, as long as the order is less than that there shouldn't be any import duties. As for shipping delays, I get all of my packages withing 1 week or less but when you order make sure the item doesn't say "backordered", that means CDJ has to get an order before they can ship out and that will take 2-4 weeks. Overall a great shopping experience.
CDJapan is a great resource for brushes. They ship very quickly and you also accrue points with each order which is nice. They can add up to be quite a bit if you order a lot. Just an added perk, and they allow you to get a discount toward future orders. I’ve never had an issue with them and I live in California.
@@FluffyFude Thank you Fluffy 🤗. This puts me at ease about ordering. I ordered a Chikuhodo squirrel brush. So in order to have it cleared with customs they want to know... if it was farm raised or wild... uh good freakin' question??
I'm a new subscriber and newly interested in makeup and fude. I really like the tip about holding off on ordering the things in your wishlist until you see a couple sale peices you want to add to the cart and quickly check out with them! I would love a video about how you care for your brushes, especially when/why you choose to clean your brushes when you do and if you do any shaping and how you store them. Do you choose to have multiples of favorite brushes so you don't have to wash them as often? Or for someone who doesn't want too many brushes in their collection is it possible to just have one Brush for each task and wash them more frequently without ruining them?
Hi Claire! Congratulations on starting your fude journey! You can absolutely have just one brush for each task and wipe them down in between uses on a microfiber towel and wash whenever you think it is appropriate. It is hard to say how often you should wash them becuase it will depend on how often you use them and with what products. Creams / liquids you will want to wash more often, perhaps even weekly. Powders I go 1-2 months by wiping down in between uses on a towel, but I chose to wash more often, I would say 2 weeks - 1 month. Hygiene in cosmetics is important and it will just depend on what you feel comfortable with. I like to have duplicates because I am not practical at all about my collection, I enjoy rotating brushes, having doubles of brushes I enjoy reaching for use often (not having to clean in between use) but to be honest this is excessive and I would not recommend it to others unless you feel the same. I think the best approach is having 1- 2 brushes for each category that are also multipurpose! If I was not a collector that is what I would do!
