As the BMS balance is only for these battery types you might need to think of another charging solution and balance. A cheap UPS is probably the safest why with lead acid charging.
Hello :) Thanks for the video. I think batteries always be on charge when there is electricity in lines. Maybe chinese bms contreller not to be trusted in this type of application? If it encounters an error then batteries can overcharge and meybe burn the house :/ I did exactly the same thing like yours but with a 12v relay and manual charging button for safety reasons. (Down side is if I forget to manually charge it is useless in next blackout. But generally it hold charge about 10 hours and blackouts only take 3 hours max.) Thanks again :)
@t.s. that is the current limitation of this approach, ideally there for be a power interruption circuit that would detect a mains power outage and the LiPos would then kick in. I need to think about that. BTW there is a PT2 coming I will publish this tomorrow. Thanks for watching. If helpful please think to Like and Subscribe !! Cheers Joe
Nice Project
Thank you! Cheers!
Great idea, Can you modify it for Sealed Lead acid battery version- (12V 20AH) for extended backup power?
