Awesome Video ! This is a nice tour in a Beautiful Land. Very good description of the Property especially about the Creek and Gold Prospecting , Hobby that I love so much. I am waiting. for a Miracle, and as soon that happen , I Will be ready to buy this wonderful Property, through Mountain Valley Real State of course.
👍🏼Like the new app! Just have to orient where you are versus the property line. Are you able to overlay the property line with your app? Just wondering…
Thank you! I will work on that to see if I can highlight the boundary or boundaries. This huge property does make it more challenging to show it on the app. A smaller parcel would be easy to see just the boundary of the parcel and no other parcels.
Well, PGE did some brush work as I think I stated in the video. They don't do that very often so you would need to talk to them about how they work cutting brush or trees near power lines. Fires do come through this area from time to time, as you can see there are not a ton of trees.
I wish you could draw red lines in that App for the property boundary. Also, when you oint to something, please clarify if it is on the property or not. Or simply don't point to things that are NOT on the property. Thank you for your great effort.
This property is pretty cool. What is the best way to learn more about the History of the property? So my Guess on the zoneing is that you can't dig for a well ? thanks for the Video.
I don't see why you can't dig for a well, but you can always double check with the county building department as they issue the permit for a well. The spring might work if it has enough volume to it. That would need to be determined of course. I'm not sure how to find more on this specific property but you can on the area by using the internet, "French Gulch, CA history" or something like that. These entities are also a great source to try.... Cougar❤ Sure would get your work out there. Burro trail or mammoth mules would work.. Miners pack gear. Uncle use to pack into the Blues to mine and pan.
Wish it had some big trees, wonder what it looked like before the fire. 🤔 2 concerns: (rhetorical questions) 1) You have to cross the creek to access the two sides? It won't be crossable in winter, OK to build a bridge? (Expensive!) 2) How clean is it environmentally? Mines of the 1800's were environmentally filthy by today's standards - very toxic! 😢
You have to cross the creek to get to one side. Correct, you would need a bridge but I don't think that would be worth the cost. I don't know if there is any issues with the environment. The EPA might know. The mobile home park right next door seems to be doing okay. Great questions!
That is technically frowned on. Yes, you can ask or tell the Shasta County Building department your potential plans and see what they say is needed. There are always restrictions but those also depend on what you are trying to accomplish.
Great question! Fire. That is our natural disaster threat for most of CA, OR, and AZ. Other states have theirs too, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, sinkholes, etc, etc.
These larger, properties cost more so there are a lot less potential buyers. The buyer also needs to have all the funds. The sellers will carry, but only for 3 years which makes the payment way too high for 99.99% of buyers. We are talking thousands of dollars per month as a monthly payment. So you really need all the cash. These larger properties normally take years to sell due to the shear amount of money unless the seller will carry with minimal down and at least 5 to 10 years on the owner carry term. There is nothing "wrong" with the property.
No, predators are afraid of humans. They run off way before you can ever see them. It was probably a mountain lion. If we had grizzly bears, then I would be afraid, but we don't.
Yes, quite a bit is on the opposite side of the road from the creek. Did you notice the attractive price per acre to compensate for the steep part of the land?
Can you make a video in the winter when there's about 10 feet of snow in the mountains and everything is frozen solid. Also, why would anyone pay $300k and non ending property taxes for something that wild animals get for free. So why don't you try and sell that to the local wild animals that live there year round. 😂😂
This property isn't in the mountains, just outside of Redding. Too low of an elevation to get snow. People buy a property so they can use it for their desired intent, like why people buy a house with land. Most people are not wild animals by the way. Kind of like apples to oranges, just not quite the same thing.
I would absolutely love to watch these videos but unfortunately that Acid Rock noise deters me from watching any of these videos. I'm looking to spend about 5 million in the next 2 years purchasing property in different states but this video is obviously not meant for serious buyers. I have a headache just from the intro of each video so I always have to purposely tell UA-cam not to recommend your channel.
No Acid, just a bit of Stomp Band Rock while Google Earth is spinning. Everyone has different tastes obviously. Someone will dislike any kind of music I put on the video. How am I supposed to please everyone? No music? Someone will complain about that too. 😔
Can you elaborate on why you think this is trash land? 398 acres is a lot of land for only $299k. Nice clean fresh water stream running through it. Easy access from the adjacent hwy. Looks like there is power and fiber optics nearby. Granted the land has been raped by hydro mining, but some people might like the opportunity to hunt for gold on their own land. The best place to hunt for gold is old gold mines. Would love to hear your reasons for labeling this land trash - thanks.
Love the new tool showing your actual location. I was thinking that would be a cool feature when I was watching your last video. 👍🏻🎉
Nice! We must have been on the same wavelength. LOL Thank you for the comment!
That creek frontage would make a great RV campground.
LOVE the app. Thanks for the adventure. Oh, that creek and the spring! I am always amazed you don't kick up some snakes with dem big foot.
Thank you so much! The heavy Bigfoot steps scares off the snakes before I get to them. 😂👣
Oh man that's an amazing piece of property!
I agree. It was fun exploring it for sure!

Nice video thats alot of area to cover on foot. Can you please add Drone footage. It would be nice to see the land also from above. Thank you
Thank you. I have been considering a drone, for now though I use 3D Google Earth.
Of course I loved it. You must love hiking as a hobby.
I was raised by the Landsquatch, so that is what happened to me. 👣😂
Leave it zoomed out, ya like it… like all your videos, you do a good job showing the properties for sale…

What is the Fire history and what are the obligations of PG&E on keeping the grounds clear of potential fire hazards?

Okay, thank you for the suggestion. I will keep that in mind when talking/pointing.
I am actually interested in the property. I am doing some research on it now.
You mentioned that there was work being done burying fiber optics. How's PG & E doing getting their equipment buried in the area? Thanks.
I don't know what company is doing the fiber optics or if it is for PGE or another entity.

@@MountainValleyRealEstatecould you stand up a campground or MHP here? What else productive could you do with mountainous land like this?

Hi. 😊. Foreigner buy any of these properties?
I think anyone can buy property in the US.
Any buildings on it? Electric to the property, well? Septic? Can you build on it? Is there a road through it?
No improvements on it so far. Yes, a single family residence is allowed. The other side of the road has power and an area cut in from a long time ago.
@@MountainValleyRealEstatehas testing been done? Can you use the water from the stream to drink? Or you have to put a well in? Etc
Typically, one puts in a well for drinking water. For a house, you need more water than for just drinking.
I wonder if there'd be enough gold left on there to pay for the place?
I have no idea.
Why not drone?
I haven't had time to study for a pilots license required by law to fly a drone for this kind of use. I have definitely looked into it.
Road to the property is how big?
It is a 2 lane paved county road. (Trinity Mountain Road)
Not sure if that is what you are looking for.?
You just found a mine? That’s a vein!
Powered right through that poison ivy lol
You bettcha! Nothing stops the Landsquatch. LOL
Love it
It is a neat property, very unique.
Bet every crack and crevic hold some nuggets. Love that swim hole.😂
Yes, that is where the gold is.
Perfect for free hydro electric power. Then use that power to pump irrigation where you need it
So who will own the mineral rights
It appears that you will.
#1 I love it!
Thank you for your comment, Bigfoot and I appreciate it!👣
What kind of preditor would break all those bones and teeth like that. I don’t think a mountain lion or bear would so that makes me think Big Foot.
You are spot on. 👣
Saba are alive and well in that area
I’m wondering the same thing. What predator would pick a nice waterfront place to maybe wash it’s kill and perhaps clean itself after a meal?
This property has been on the market for a few years now, either the price is too high or something else is wrong with the property 🤷🏻♂️

Do you get worried that you'll come up on a predator? What may have killed that buck?
No, predators are afraid of humans. They run off way before you can ever see them. It was probably a mountain lion. If we had grizzly bears, then I would be afraid, but we don't.
I like it
Me too! Thank you for commenting.
That’s a whole lot of poison oak!
The algae in that pond would be deadly for a dog and for humans too.
Good to know, thank you.
I’m willing to bet you cannot build between the road and the creek.
Maybe. Although, the huge mobile home park backs right up to the creek. Perhaps the building rules have changed.?
@@MountainValleyRealEstate most likely grandfathered in.

Bear or mountain lion on that land
I would think both at some point. They do live in CA among other states.

Next time you do this right horse horse
Ride a horse? I ride on the back of the Landsquatch, as close as I can get to a horse right now. LOL
fyi you only own the land not the minerals. its 2 diff deeds for those and a land owner cant own the minerals
An owner can own the mineral rights. That is why some properties don't have them, because someone reserved them when the owned the property.
Look! Squirrel!
Watch out for rattlesnakes, please. Better wear snake proof boots
Thank you, I will.
