- Pakistan’s delayed elections may be over, but amid allegations of rigging and a deep economic slump, the chaos in the country continues.
A coalition government has been formed. However, with what is seen as a weak mandate, the ruling parties will have difficulty pushing through any meaningful policies. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party remains hugely popular and continue to allege that the election was stolen from them. They have lodged multiple court cases challenging the electoral results, even as their supporters protest in the streets.
Former-Prime Minister Imran Khan remain behind bars, but he nonetheless wields tremendous influence over millions of supporters who are fed up with the economic decline. And in the backdrop, public sentiment has turned against the powerful military establishment. Can Pakistan find a path forward after the polls?

They wanted to safeguard the interests of their respective regions, and their ethnic groups. Pakistan was a good deal for them.

1-Eversince Imran was ousted by the military, his party was banned from holding rallies,by making up excuses. Supreme court ordered elections to be held in punjab but they too were delayed (since military is literally the Monarch,their stooges are everywhere by design)
2-Imran faced an attack"assasination attempt" thought to have been done by the military to scare him. His attacker though a poor man,suspiciously had a big wig lawyer. Imran banned from tv,but attacker's lawyer got state tv airtime.

Pakistan is the most allied ally of the US since its inception. A founding member of SEATO and CENTO, a major non NATO ally, military access.
What exactly has this gotten Pakistan? There was no Marshall plan for Pakistan and no major economic investments. I would be the first to say the Americans are a great ally if they guided our govt and state towards being an economic powerhouse like south Korea or Japan but they preferred our state to be a poor and backwards country.
