The Green Jesus is essentially the root cause of this mess. Without him, there would be no need for the Horde to keep switching between "good mode" and "evil mode", it just would'be been true to its evilness at all times, which would keep WARcraft going.

For instance, Alliance clearly overpowered the Horde back in the day, just to later got decimated by the Scourge in Lordaeron. Besides, elves could pretty much unite into their own third faction, to oppose both Alliance and Horde, making the balance of power even more interesting.
If Garrosh is still around, there's a chance that it will still happen. That being said, hopefully there will be a Garithos vs Garrosh campaign, as both are just the same character but with different affiliations

And the Horde had already left by the time the plague occurred. The Blackrock Clan loyal to the Legion wasn't part of the Horde anymore. Even without the Orcs, the plague would've occurred. The Legion's return was inevitable.

Especially since it let the mages and priests study them to figure out what the hell was wrong with them, albeit to no avail.

Admiral Daelin Proudmoore claiming he's acting in the name of justice when he's doing out of vengeance, makes Derek joining the Horde more hilarious than ever. For those who don't know Daelin's son, Derek was killed by the Horde during the Second War. Which is the root of his hate. During Battle for Azeroth, Derek was resurrected and after the Fourth War concluded, he joined the Forsaken where he stands as Calia Menethil's champion.
I am so happy to see the downfall of Blizzard's biggest Marty Sue (Rexxar). His mere existence is so annoying! Oh and R.I.P. Thrall. He was an adequate orc. Which is actually saying much!
Garithos succeeded where the rest of the alliance failed despite him leading just a bunch of survivors whom numbers can't be really all that great he and the admiral brought an end to the horde with it becoming dysfunctional the alliance or humanity will rule supreme

It all goes back to the second war. Kul Tiras was one of the nations that suffered the slaughter perpetraded by the orcs against the Kingdom of Lordaeron. Thousands died in that war. At the end, the Horde lost, but Daelin Proudmore was one of the few that remember that war. Later, Kul tiras was one of the few nations that survived the onslaught of The Burning Legion during the third war, and those Kul Tirans that didn't went with Jaina, stayed in Lordaeron until the end of the Third War. Daelin didn't forgive the orcs, and attacked them at any place he encountered them, until they reached Kalimdor and found Theramore and Orgrimmar. He took control of the first one and tried to attack the second one. The entire Horde retaliated.
