I really enjoyed this reaction. The writing in this song is really exceptional. It is not often that Christianity is correlated with Ancient Greek sages. Referencing Pontus Pilate and Thales, the Ancient Greek philosopher, at the theater of Miletus. Themes are very relatable. I agree this song was pure poetry about never straying from your true north.
Hell yeah!!! JID absolutely killed it, proved once again why he's the king right now!! Surprised they haven't reacted to it being the big JID fans they are! I can't wait to hear JID's next project! He's an artist who gets better and better!
This is a must listen for R&B heads, I've never really checked for Bruno, had no idea he was this smooth!!! This is that duo we didn't know we needed, kinda like RTJ!
I would have to agree with that assessment on Bruno Mars. I really wasn't the fan of his until he slipped into that 70s vibe with Paak. Anderson is an absolute pristine beast. If you've heard the intro to that song that has the irreplaceable Bootsy Collins giving the passage into the funk realm.

This is the only comment about the Greek mythology bars! I guess it just went over most people heads because it’s based off of pronunciation rather than the actual literal word.
Something I wished you guys would have touched up on more is how when he was in a blue room he was speaking more calmly and in a way that made you feel that he wasn’t trying to hurt anybody’s feelings (symbolizing the tongue) and then we switch to a red room where he starts talking about what he’s so sick of and how he’s mad about all these things (symbolizing the heart) completely opposite of the blue room but at the end of the day I really loved this break down and am looking forward to another one EDIT: also when he mentions how he feels you see red and when he says what is politically correct you see blue (or when he is calm I can’t really tell) further pushing the idea/theory that red symbolizes the heart and that blue symbolizes to tongue EDIT 2: also I see that when there is no light he is contemplating his emotions so I think that there could be a tongue chance and a heart chance and that when he’s in a blue room he’s speaking from his tongues perspective (the cool, calm, collected chance that try’s to see the bigger picture) and when he’s in a red room he is specking from his hearts perspective (the emotional chance who rushes into things without thinking them through aka the heart chance or hot head chance) and when he’s in a dark room or a room with no blue or red that’s the chance that we know and are watching so I think that we’re looking at chance and both of his feelings that why we see multiple different changes in color cause what he’s saying are different chances like when we go from red to black back to no red or when we go from the blue room to the red room also the black room chance could be symbolizing his brain and how it’s undecided EDIT 3: anything thing is that you can tell when it’s his heart talking and not anything else cause when his heart is talking it’s loud and aggressive and it’s making statements but when his brain is talking he is questioning himself and is soft voiced and when his tongue is talking he is also soft voiced but he is making statements
It’s a cross reference from scripture speaking about the heart and tounge(flesh) . “The Spirit is willing, but the Flesh is weak.” I believe God is working through Chance he has been from the jump.

@really haterz Coloring Book was cool, had some really good tracks, but imo was still a step back, but this right here is Chance in his pocket! A full album of this type of music might be better than Acid Rap imo
@really haterz Well I’m really not the biggest Chance fan, and the whole Christian vibe to me wasn’t really my thing, so it’s my own bias, I was obsessed with Acid Rap when it first came out then I just got bored with it and Chance once he went Mainstream lol but that’s the hipster in me loll, but yes can’t wait to hear what Chance does next project, this might be in my top 5 Chance tracks and unlike Ryan I love the sample here, this sounds like classic Soul Ye
@really haterz Will do, this song makes me want to go back to Chance, and to be fair I only heard Coloring Book like a few months back and only heard it once, I remember it getting shit on and hearing it was gospel when it first came out and never did get around to hearing it, I’m Underground I don’t check for much Mainstream artists, but this def reinstated my interest in Chance, prob 1 of the best tracks of the year
Yea, he's definitely saying he wants to call out corruption & elitist, and corporate lobbying of politicians, but that would put his career at risk. So, it's like, "Do I sell out for the money, or do I make woke music?"
This is my first full listen of Chance and this track was dope, but I think the video is the highlight for me. This is all you need to do to make a successful music video.
Chance is so good man. Been a fan for a long time, happy to see him getting love again like this. Thanks for breaking it down, this track is kinda undeniable.
Pontius Pilate was the judge. He knew that Jesus did no wrong but the people were yelling to crusify him and what the people wanted was what Pontius Pilate had to do so that’s why it’s like the internal struggle. Love from St Louis guys
Pontius Pilate is a historical figure who ordered the crucifixion of God the Son - Jesus - because he was pressured by the public. He declared himself innocent of his blood because he didn’t want the crucifixion to happen. Matthew 27:24. It’s not about being religious, it’s about Truth. This song is fire 🔥 🔥🔥
Yeah its a dope song 💥 the conversation that Jesus has with Pilate is very interesting and is so applicable to today's age of time where the truth is subjective. John 18: 29-38 29 (F)Therefore Pilate came out to them and *said, “What accusation are you bringing against this Man?” 30 They answered and said to him, “If this Man were not [c]a criminal, we would not have handed Him over to you.” 31 So Pilate said to them, “Take Him yourselves, and judge Him according to your law.” The Jews said to him, “We are not [d]permitted to put anyone to death.” 32 This happened so that (G)the word of Jesus which He said, indicating what kind of death He was going to die, would be fulfilled. 33 Therefore Pilate (H)entered the Praetorium again, and summoned Jesus and said to Him, “(I)You are the King of the Jews?” 34 Jesus answered, “Are you saying this [e]on your own, or did others tell you about Me?” 35 Pilate answered, “I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests handed You over to me; what have You done?” 36 Jesus answered, “(J)My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not [f]of this realm.” 37 Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered, “(K)You say correctly that I am a king. For this purpose I have been born, and for this I have come into the world: (L)to testify to the truth. (M)Everyone who is of the truth listens to My voice.” 38 Pilate *said to Him, “What is truth?” And after saying this, he (N)came out again to the Jews and *said to them, “(O)I find no grounds at all for charges in [g]His case.
I really enjoy the way you guys break down music. You guys definitely earned a subscription from me. And this is no harm to all of the other reaction podcasters, but they really need to step up their game!
I recently came across 56th & Ingleside which introduced me to Chance and I have been playing his top hits on my playlist lately. Several of my favorite songs are off of The Big Day album. 💕

Pontius Pilate washed his hands off persecuting Jesus because he couldn't find a wrong with him but in so doing, sealed his fate because the people tha brought Jesus before Pilate had already deemed him guilt of blasphemy. I ain't religious either but that's what I remember from the teachings.

I really think you guys should do Deftones “Back to School”. It’s from the White Pony album, and was a throw in track because the record label wanted a “Limp Bizkit” type song for the album. I know you guys like Chino’s voice and have heard him sing softly and scream, but you haven’t heard him rap yet. He’s amazing on this track. And the best part is, he just did it off hand because the label asked for it. Threw it together quick. I honestly think you guys will dig it. It’s one of their most different but best songs. Check it out!!!

The Greek mythology world play with Poseidon...tight end (Titan)...hydrant (Hydra) was HARD. Took a few listens to realize it but oh my.
That’s insane
This is the only comment about the Greek mythology bars! I guess it just went over most people heads because it’s based off of pronunciation rather than the actual literal word.
Something I wished you guys would have touched up on more is how when he was in a blue room he was speaking more calmly and in a way that made you feel that he wasn’t trying to hurt anybody’s feelings (symbolizing the tongue) and then we switch to a red room where he starts talking about what he’s so sick of and how he’s mad about all these things (symbolizing the heart) completely opposite of the blue room but at the end of the day I really loved this break down and am looking forward to another one
EDIT: also when he mentions how he feels you see red and when he says what is politically correct you see blue (or when he is calm I can’t really tell) further pushing the idea/theory that red symbolizes the heart and that blue symbolizes to tongue
EDIT 2: also I see that when there is no light he is contemplating his emotions so I think that there could be a tongue chance and a heart chance and that when he’s in a blue room he’s speaking from his tongues perspective (the cool, calm, collected chance that try’s to see the bigger picture) and when he’s in a red room he is specking from his hearts perspective (the emotional chance who rushes into things without thinking them through aka the heart chance or hot head chance) and when he’s in a dark room or a room with no blue or red that’s the chance that we know and are watching so I think that we’re looking at chance and both of his feelings that why we see multiple different changes in color cause what he’s saying are different chances like when we go from red to black back to no red or when we go from the blue room to the red room also the black room chance could be symbolizing his brain and how it’s undecided
EDIT 3: anything thing is that you can tell when it’s his heart talking and not anything else cause when his heart is talking it’s loud and aggressive and it’s making statements but when his brain is talking he is questioning himself and is soft voiced and when his tongue is talking he is also soft voiced but he is making statements
I love your interpretation of the visual aspect of the song
He is also literally spitting fire 😂😂 the fireplace shots 😭😭

A lot of people wasn't feeling his last album from what I heard its mostly because he was making lovey dovey songs, he was engaged or getting married to his fiancé at the time
@@97Shadow14 but rappers lying about owning citys they moved out of, and money they dont have is the applaudable thing to do?
You guys should react to some classic rap from Brazil, Racionais MC's - Nego Drama, it has a subtitled version on UA-cam

Please review Tobi Father Figure featuring Black thought and Royce
I really like this one
The album was good it’s not what was expected but still enjoyable!!
King los Lemmon pepper freestyle is a must
React to E-40 Stand on that
I really think you guys should do Deftones “Back to School”. Check it out!!!
you would dig; Hawk House - Tidal Tendencies & Chill Pill
