Kirby has given more credit to the fans than any coach im aware of. He constantly starts off his press conferences by thanking the fans for their support. So to the folks criticizing Kirby right now, I'd say he has earned the right to now express his disappointment.

I’m just gonna go out on a limb here and say that maybe losing to Alabama in yet another heartbreaking loss might have sucked some of the air out of the Georgia fans
That's called fair weather fans. They come and go. It would have been louder if the opponent was different. Kirby needs to wake up the fan base.
I think it has a lot more to do with how our offence and defence play. I am diehard Dawgs fan but we are not explosive on either side of the ball and our defence is giving up chunck plays the whole game

Remains crazy that Georgia still hasn't lost a game to anybody except the elephants in Tuscaloosa since 2020
Bama has had the greatest coach ever for a while, recruits on our level and can steal recruits out of our states due to proximity. Its unfortunate but it makes sense

I’m showing my age, but I remember when the end zones were not closed off at Sanford. You had a nice constant wind that at least made it tolerable. Now? It’s an oven.
I was sitting in Sanford. My section did its part.
It was homecoming, you always have a crowd that is a little less intense. Combine that with a game that just dragged on from commercials and ref ball, and fans are tired. They'll be ready for Tennessee. Kirby just needs to worry about working on tackling and db coverage.
At the end of the first half, there was 37 seconds of game time and over 9 minutes of commercials!
Gotta find someone to replace Everette.

Been 40yr Vanderbilt ..The last time Vanderbilt beat Alabama in the 1980s was in 1984. It was a significant upset, as Vanderbilt entered the game with a 3-0 record and defeated the 1-2 Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa.
All credit due to Kirby. Glad he’s our coach and wouldn’t trade him for anyone. That said, his comment rubbed me wrong. A few points on it that you didn’t mention:
-I don’t recall a single big/explosive play the whole game. I watched the whole game and the only play I remember is the touchdown that looked like it went through one receivers hands then the one behind him caught it. Slow and steady offenses work to win, but it did nothing to hype up the crowd.
-For the first time in years, it feels like we don’t have any players who are loved for their off field persona. Nolan Smith and Jordan Davis could host college gameday or good morning America one day and I wouldn’t be surprised. Stetson, Brock, and Ladd had everyone rooting for them. Ringo was a fan favorite after the pick 6. Pickens, Darnell, and Jalen Carter all had some flash and excitement to them. Of course we have some incredible athletes this year, but I don’t feel like there is anyone we are rooting for like those past guys on this team.
-we personally had friends at the game from Augusta who had been dealing with hurricane aftermath in a big way all week. The game was a relaxing distraction that they needed. They had no desire to stand and yell, they needed a break. I don’t know how many folks like that were in the crowd, but I’m sure it wasn’t just our friends.
-It was a homecoming game. Lots of one game a year fans who are older showed up for it. It’s always going to be a quieter crowd on homecoming, bad scheduling if we wanted it to be a rowdy crowd.
If you look at our home schedule this year its not hard to see why. Besides Tennessee, our home games arent exactly easy to get up for.
Kirby was right. There was a palpable indifference in the stadium Saturday. I felt it myself. We just ended a school record streak of 42 consecutive regular season wins. It didn't matter if we were playing Tennessee Tech or Tennessee, we cheered to keep that alive. We needed a "reset" and Saturday was it. Kirby was right to call us out. I'll be in 317 on Saturday making as much noise as I can against arguably the worst team in the SEC. Go DAWGS!
The game production is a bad mark on Georgia that isn't helping on the field. Imagine seeing the difference as a recruit, too? Needs to be improved quickly.
It was loud when the flashed Vandy beating Alabama on the big screen!!
I think it’s fair to say that many of our fans have become spoiled. The program has become so successful that it is faxing the consequences of success that you mentioned.
There are other things that could be factors IMO. Georgia has absolutely dominated the series with Auburn over the last 20 matchups, winning 17 of them. The rivalry has been lopsided and the youngest fans haven’t seen Auburn be a consistent threat to UGA in football.
Some fans were probably still upset about losing to Bama again and overreacted as if the season’s over (despite there being a 12-team CFP now). Then it’s also worth noting that we have fans who live in southern GA and western NC who have bigger concerns than football.
I love rivalry games and usually am loud and fired up for them even if the rival isn’t having a very good season. But some fans aren’t as fired up for the reasons I mentioned and there have always been a fair share at Sanford who don’t really stand and cheer much regardless of the opponent. And finally, the homecoming crowd isn’t necessarily the most rowdy.
Kirby and people worrying about playing Auburn at home and not enough noise. Come on , he just knows the DB"s from the Bama game and it wasn't happening in this one. Ga was favored by 21 points. This will not be a problem when Tennessee comes to town.
As a Bama fan, Georgia is starting to hit the peak that Bama had, everyone gives you 150% and you’ll never be good enough and judge yourself without any appreciation
The home schedule sucks, let’s be honest . By the way love you Kirby beat Bama and see how excited that place would have been against Auburn.

Kirby is a little tone deaf when half the state is trying to dig out of the aftermath of a hurricane and he's whining about crowd noise!
As a dawg fan and on dawg posts, fans are NOT happy with Kirby and Bobo right now. Vandy…. has a better team right now. A better QB, better OC, no arrests, and honestly better coaching. Vandy showed up for Bama better prepared than UGA. It’s sad when UGA fans have to look up to Vandy. Let that sink in.
You get it. We love our slow starts and struggle halves, it’s cause for noise and excitement from the fans ain’t it? Kirby needs to BEAT BAMA and we’ll all be squared away. Nothing else matters but that one. Win that one you’ll win all of em. I know I’m right.

Looks to me like one team had their Super Bowl and didn’t prepare for the next team and the other team treated each game and individual games.
Perfect trap game for both Bama and Georgia and only one team out of those two showed up and played

I think it is the disappointment with the once again predictable offensive play calling. Fans are not happy about it. You hear it in the stands. Folks want Bobo gone.
Don’t know what’s missing more..The defense tackling, or a more updated game day experience in Athens.
But did you see the game? It was not that engaging.
The crowd wasn’t super loud? It’s almost as if they were coming off of a heartbreaking loss and playing a bad team. 🤔🤔
There are only about three fan bases that I can think of off the top of my head that are loud for pretty much every game. The rest of the sport is going to be loud for big games and not as loud otherwise. And if Kirby wants to call out the fans, we could ask him why we’ve played 2 neutral site games for three years straight. If he has zero say so in the nonconference schedule, then be mad at the people who do. if he does have a say in it then maybe he is partially to blame for crowds not being excited for the shitty home games that they get.
