I love the palms - they make a statement. And the wine cabinet looks way more expensive than it was. It is all coming together. We had a ceiling fan where the blades sagged. I bet the patio fan is great now. Holiday weekend traffic anywhere in urban areas is a nightmare. We basically gave up going anywhere. It will be the same for Thanksgiving on the Wednesday. We had friends from England staying in July and took them to SFO for their flight home on July 3rd, middle of the day. Took us 45 minutes to drop them off, 2 and a half hours to get home. FYI… be prepared for the school to do late days, early days, conference days, teacher work days, over and above the usual holidays. I am sure they have given you a calendar and/or post it on their website. And it changes every year. Sometimes the Friday before a longer break will be a minimum day. And it can change with different levels so elementary and middle may get the half day but high school does not.
Thanks yes I have the school calendar and have tried to copy it to mine in the kitchen so I know what I’m doing, they didn’t have things like that in Qatar, it was always just fill days. Traffic is just awful isn’t it, I’ve learned my lesson now with holiday traffic and next one we will be staying home unless there is something important to do. I’m glad you like the palms and cabinet, I’m so happy with them ❤️ xx

Really like the furniture, the wine cabinet! And the palm trees! I bought a coconut palm tree for $60 a small one and I am determined to grow it and see coconuts, they aren’t that easy to grow here as it’s not hot enough (I’m not kidding)! But if you cover them in winter they survive the cold snaps. We’ve managed to grow papayas but struggling with mangos. Just found a really nice lad who has stables and gave me some horse manure yesterday so I’m Getting serious about fruit growing LOL!!! We’re off to primark next Saturday thanks to you!
I would love to be able to grow fruit, I’ve always wanted a lemon or lime tree so I suppose if anywhere then this is the place to do it but I’ve never been green fingered!! Thanks for watching xx
We stayed at French Quarter in Nov 2017. We got married whilst staying there. Not in Disney, at a place on Lake Bryan called Paradise Cove. But we had our wedding meal at Ohana and did a fireworks cruise in Epcot. Best day ever! 😊

I made it my mission this Summer to finally try Beignets at Scat Cafe and they didn’t disappoint 😋. Loved them. The new Furniture and other pieces to your Home looks beautiful 😍. I hope school gets better, I know your feeling as her Mom. I can relate with you, I want to stay at every Disney Resort too with every video I see 😂.
We’ve stayed at French Quarter and love it, in fact we’re back there next year. The boat service goes to and from Disney Springs. How about you and Zara parking at Springs, take the bus to French Quarter, have beignets, then take the boat back to Springs? Takes about 20 minutes - and is free! Love the vlogs keep up the great work!
Great vlog - we’ve stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter several times now and have to say it’s a lovely resort - very chilled and much smaller than most other Disney resorts. The walk along the water to Port Orleans Riverside is a nice start to the day. Felt a bit envious of you today! Your palms look beautiful. Thanks for sharing x

Another great vlog Katie ❤Jason's comment about washing his hair everyday was so funny 😀 Poor Jason must be so exhausted from doing all those jobs around the house, but I guess you can't have him lazing around on his days off lol! I agree the wine cabinet looks amazing and such good value. I think the garden lights are much brighter but personally I think you may need to add another one. The traffic is crazy, it seems whatever time of day you travel it's always busy on your vlogs. Have you experienced any days when it's been quiet?

I grew up in the West and grew up seeing rattlesnakes everyday in our yard, in the fields, etc. If you give snakes a wide berth when you walk around them they will not come after you or chase you. You only have to worry if you get too close or startle them or step on them. So always watch your feet and where you are stepping. However, an Alligator might come after you so I would turn around if I saw one of them. We didn't have Alligators in the west but we had Bears, Mountain Lions, Coyotes, etc.
Thanks for the advice, honestly I feel more scared now I live here that I’m going to see something really big while I’m walking and nothing I can do about it, I think having more education on these things is good so I know if there dangerous or not xx

Can Jason nip round and put some flat pack up round ours? We’re about half hour from Heathrow so he could divert one of his flights and nip over.
