500 hz is roughly the sound of road noise in a car. It is considered “mid-bass” in music, ie between the woofer 8-10” speaker, and the midrange speaker 3-5” speaker. It’s also in the “range” of hearing that’s least sensitive, or difficult to decipher. So then, why is the none of those? It seems much higher pitched but of course that’s a higher frequency????? 528 is a popular frequency.... very different.
@@deimosphob You are hearing a 500 hertz SINE tone. Different people have different ways to say things. If you don't understand something, you can at least use common sense. The video is playing a 500 hertz SINE tone. That's what he means. Same with 5 hectohertz. I say 5 hectohertz, but that's not the only way to say it. Normally you say 500 hertz. Same here. The four basic waveforms are sine, triangle, square, and sawtooth. You are hearing a pure 500 hertz tone and nothing else. Replace sinus with the word sine so you understand it better. 500 hertz sine tone. Sorry for the confusion.

Yep. This is a C 5(soprano C) tuned -041. If you can play B 4(middle B) on a 445.45 hertz instrument, you should get 5 hectohertz.
