- This Russian Bear Market tent could possibly be the best four season tent! In this video, we visit with some of our family members that actually own one of these amazing tents. They'll show the set-up, the optional insulated floor and the wood burning stove. They love it, and we're super jealous.

Very Nice! The tent is okay too!
Thanks!
Awesome video thank you I’m definitely getting one . Ps hello from England 🏴 ❤
That is so cool! We love it when we get viewers from across the pond. ;)
Thanks for the info.
We are happy to help! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for actually showing how to set the tent up from inside (how the "umbrella" mechanism works). How do you close it though? Do you have a video showing that?
We are actually going to visit the couple that have this tent next month. We will try to remember to ask them. Great idea on doing a video on how to close it.
@@GrassRootsLiving I ordered their pentagon version. Sadly, I can't even open their UP version (I've tried), at least not being a solo camper. I'm too short at 5ft and while I'm not a weak female, I'm not strong enough or tall enough, to do what is needed to even open the tent. Thanks again for the video and future videos.
Wow! What an amazing tent and great stove! Awesome setup! Now I want one too! Lol! Thanks for sharing this with us!
It is amazing! I have no doubt that you could build your own great tent by picking up a few things at the Dollar Tree. I have seen your work. :) Thanks for watching!
This is an awesome set up! Love the stove! Enjoyed this great video, glad to see you enjoying some family time too. Take care. -Jody
We had a great time with family and were so happy that they agreed to show us their tent. Thanks for watching!
The "plastic" window inserts are actually rubber material. They are rated to -50C. So you could fold them without fear of them cracking in most weather conditions. The stove glass heats up to 1382°F. So the side shields could be used to reduce the heat output and for safety.
Great tips! Thanks for sharing!
That is such a cool tent! Glad you were able to spend some time with family.
It really is! Can't wait to see you guys next week. We reserved site 102. :) See you then and thanks for watching!
That is one awesome tent. I love the wood stove. It's definitely a really cool set up. I did keep thinking, I'm too lazy for this lol. But man if I wasn't lazy and liked to tent camp, this would be something I would probably be interested in.
wow that is some tent almost like a yurt. what an easy set up.
It sure is! We absolutely loved that tent. Thanks for watching!
Hi guys! Tent life will never be the same after this. It's the coolest tent I've seen. Maybe I'll buy one and join you one summer in Alaska. Greet the young people and thank them for showing this great tent.
Just let us know when you are headed that way! The young people did a great job showing the tent. We were so proud of them. Thanks for watching. :)
I love it too. I would love to have this set!!! Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was serious when I said I would like to take this to Alaska and stay the summer in it. Thanks for watching!
That’s a great tent design. Love the stove.
We really love that tent! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this educational presentation.
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
Wow Russian Bear Market tent looks amazing. Thanks for showing:)
That tent is amazing! Thanks for watching!
Holly cow. What a tent.
I am serious when I said I would love to stay the summer in Alaska with it. :) Thanks for watching!
Love it.
I thought that you would like it! :)
That's so cool. I with Dean. I could take a tent like that to Alaska and live in it too. Glad you could see family as well. 💚💚💚
This is Dean. I am really considering how to do just that. :) Thanks for watching and for your comment. :)
Wow. Very interesting video . If i were a tent person , i would not waste a second and would buy one . It’s beautiful , roomy , in my mind I’m trying to fiqure out how i would set up my sewing machine . ( i never leave home without it)😊. Thank you for sharing . Another great informative video . Be safe guys ✌️.
Well said! It is getting the electricity to the sewing machine that would be the trick. ;) Thanks for watching another one. :) :) :)
That’s an amazing tent! It has everything!!
Does it also include a tv and bathroom too?! LOL!! 😂
Great video y’all!
It does not have a tv and bathroom......yet! lol Thanks for watching!
Could? RBM is the best 4 season tent! The over engineered tent also has the best camping stove too! I bought the cuboid 2.20 with the awning extension (additional porch area!! You could live in these tents in Alaska in the winter too! It's also part sauna when you're learning how to damper down it gets so hot!
I have no doubt that you are right. The only reason why we made it a question was because we haven't seen ever 4 season tent ever made. lol Thanks for watching!
@@GrassRootsLiving I've wanted to buy a tent for years so I've been investigating and really wanted to winter camp. A few months back I ran into this Survival Russia channel and Lars (Larsen) is from Russian and his English and humor is amazing. Anyway Lars is demoing this RBM tent and I was caught hot line and sinker! Off to Amazon I went to drop down a small bucket of money. The tent came rather quick and I think it shipped from Tennessee? They use Russia packing tape I'm sure but I 100% believe is a Russian made and designed product. The camping stakes are made from what looks like from rebar and I thought that seems excessive and very unlike a Chinese crap thing? Yet, if you have super deep frozen ground you need every bit of that beefy spike. I also have a portable air conditioner and with a double walled tent I could totally chill that way down. Of not talking boondocking but so started as winter camping idea just turned right into it could middle of the summer and I could be super comfortable too! I'm overly happy and while I've never done a UA-cam video, I'm so impressed I just have to do one for this beast!
Wow very cool tent.
I really is a cool tent, isn't it? Thanks for watching!
I follow a UA-camr that uses that stove. So awesome
Very cool! Love that tent and stove combo. :) Thanks for watching!
$1300..Nice price! One year later they're now $1800, if you can find one (hint: you can't).
Still, you guys did a nice job on the show & tell.
$500 in one year. I guess that that doesn't surprise me too much. Inflation and the fact that it is a really good tent. Thanks for watching!
Wow, that is an amazing tent. And the fact that you can put a vented wood stove in there, that is awesome. Pretty comfy camping. I like the multiple removable layers on the windows and door. Looks like the ultimate tent. They did a great job demonstrating it. I knew you two would want one :) Take care!

I was serious when I said I would love to live in that tent in Alaska for the summer. :) Thanks for watching and we are looking forward to getting to meet you guys. :) :) :)
@@GrassRootsLiving will be fun to meet you 😄
Very cool set up! Smoke detector for the win! Hope they have a lot of rewarding experiences! -grace
I honestly think we could live in this for a summer in Alaska. :) Thanks for watching!
Very interesting tent. A little on the spendy side. I have a canvas Kodiak flex-bow tent that I have used down to 16 degrees F with the Mr.Heater buddy, and was comfortable. It takes me about 15 minutes to set up by myself and has room for two cots and a table and chairs. Headroom for 6 foot tall guys like Dean and cost about half of what the RBM does. Travel safe guys and I think you will need a bigger car to haul that tent!
Thanks for the tips! I will have to check out that Kodiak flex-bow tent. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this demo. Do you think the inner layer can be taken off for summer camping?
We think the inner layers of the doors and windows could be taken off but not the tent itself. The next time I talk to those two, I will try to remember to ask them. Great question! Thanks for asking. :)
Does the floor come with the 10th and it attached to the tent so when you pop it open the floor is there
That is a great question. The next time I talk with them, I will try to remember to ask them. I do know that they ordered a 'special' insulated floor, so they may have chosen not to use the 'regular floor'. On the Russian Bear Market website it says, "Outer tent, inner tent with floor, frame" as part of the packaging. Here is a link: hottent.com/collections/tents/products/bereg-universal-tent-up-2-comfort-4-person Watch the video again starting at just past the two minute mark. They talk a little about the floor. Hope this helps. :)
Definitely not a tent for backpacking...lol Pretty neat stuff though...I have a friend much younger than me that lives in a yurt full-time out in the mountains along the coast in British Columbia and uses a wood burning stove for heat all winter. At my age, I think some more "little luxuries" would be needed...lol Take great care guys...Bruce and Otis
LOL! Yes, definitely not a tent for backpackers. However, I think I could live in a tent like that. Does that friend have a UA-cam channel? Thanks for watching!
@@GrassRootsLiving No, I'm sorry to say he doesn't do any social media at all :-(
They have one that sleeps 8
I knew that they had various sizes, but not one that sleeps 8. So cool!
Bereg means shore in Russian
I did not know that. Thanks for letting us know. :)
Nice tent! Surprised you can put a wood stove in there.
It was the best (and most expensive) tent that we have every entered. Thanks so much for watching!
few people talk about it, but this tent can also be used as a sauna, and nothing needs to be changed, with a standard stove. just put stones on it))
I had not thought about it, but you are right. This would be a great sauna. :)
Russian bears are quicker to
:) Lol
Apparently you have never stayed in that tent in hot weather.
The owners told me that they did stay in it in the summer months. They said it is better fitted for cooler weather for sure. However, they said it wasn't too bad in heat, because it comes in layers and windows and doors can be opened. Thanks for the input though.
@@GrassRootsLiving just run a few fans or portable AC and you're good
Only problem with the tent is actually quite a big one. If it starts pouring hard, water will get in underneath the tent. It couldn't survive a half inch level of water...😔
I talked with the young couple. They said that they have never had a problem with water getting inside. They said the flaps on the outside bottom of the tent do a good job of sweeping the water away from the tent. Having said that, I guess it would depend where they set it up. Anyhow, thanks for the feedback. :)
Hi
Damion, Mrs. Grassie said you talk too much. LOL Thanks for watching!
BUYER BEWARE! This tent frame's sliding mechanism is defective from the factory and broke off in my hands upon initial set up. RBM'S answer for a fix was to send me a replacement part that didn't fit. If I can save one person from the nightmare that I went through, this comment is worth it.
DO NOT PURCHASE!
