I am a Christian. But I found out that I have Jewish roots. Three of my relatives died in the Shoah. While my journey is in reverse, I found that my Jewish side enhances my Christian faith, which is wonderful. Even so, come Lord Yeshua.
Don’t forget the lost northern tribes of Israel. There were 10 tribes that were taken away by Assyrians. It is likely they migrated into Europe and then Americas. The lost tribes.
I have a similar journey. I was raised Christian, my mother was raised Christian, but my grandfather was the son of Jewish immigrants who fled Russia at the helm of WWII. My great grandparents died well before I was born and my grandpa was agnostic as an adult. He was our last link to Judaism and he NEVER talked about it so no one else did either. I thought for all these years it was just an abandoned religion that had a moment in my family history. Then I took a dna test and lo, I am genetically JEWISH!! My eyes became wide open. And now I’m very sad I know NOTHING about my Jewish roots except there is NO Christianity without our Jewish roots.

Me too. Both my parents had relatives who married into Jewish families. Anything that is Christian is ultimately Jewish. The cross which is made of wood of a 🌲 probably olive, the Church was birthed on Shavuot (Pentecost) & HE was prophesied in the Old Testament (Tanakh).

My story begins like this, I see the Lord's hand from the time of my conception in my life, My Mom wanted to abort me, I was saved due to the efforts of a Doctor who is a Catholic Nun, All my childhood memories are flooded with how I searched for God, I was very much involved in all religious activities but I still did not have the real peace in his heart. I often wondered, “After all these religious ceremonies which I am performing every day, am I in right relationship with God? Is he drawing closer to me? My earliest encounter with Christ was big image of the Sacred Heart, I always felt called by Him, During classes and even at break I used to look at Him, the day His eyes met mine, He never left me, I still was a stauch Hindu, I wanted to overcome my karma by performing devotional rituals, but fear of death and reincarnation had overcome me, the words of Christ to Martha has set me free " I am the Resurrection", I followed Jesus right from I was 11, I was hated by my family and relatives for my faith in Him, but the Lord was gracious enough to take me into His fold when I was 16, I was baptized along with my Mom and maternal Grandmother into the Church. Jesus my Savior, my King my all in all changed my life, there is no meaning to life without Him.

This all rang true for me a s well. My father was a scientist and an avoud atheist, when I came to know Jesus and the Father through the neighbors at 10 years old, I became his enemy.
He would belittle me for my faith. My mother was not a believer either, nor my one and only sister....so daily I endured attack and ridicule...the neighbors didn't want me to go to church with them all the time,in fact I went maybe 5 times with them...so I was all e, but I had a Bible from a relative in another state...when I came to faith, the Word opened up to me...and I knew reading it was the only way I would come to know my Lord and savior more fully....it was like my Father and Brother had left me a box of letters....I had so much peace in the midst of it...God's hand was on me ...the Holy Spirit walked with me....I was not afraid....at first I tried to read front to back...but the geneologies got to me(at 10 years old, they were hard to read through) so I started just opening my Bible anywhere and reading. Full chapter...that got me excited....then I would read more....but at LEAST ONE ....the next noght, I would open and read in another place....sometime old, sometimes new...and I could see how old and new mirrored each other....my first Bible was KJV...and it is the only version that makes it easy to see Jesus in both old and. New...at least for me...so even if you only read a verse...it's a start
My dad died confessing Jesus as Lord...what a miracle...my sister came to faith after the birth of her 4th child...I'm am trusting for my mother to. One to the. Ross as well...

One of the congregants in our church is a messianic Jew, he shared his testimony, it was so powerful to hear how God prepared him, through his upbringing & Hebrew schooling. He's also a descendent of the line of Aaron & the Levites.

@@dootdoot94xo44 Assuming you are a Christian, it is perfectly understandable that you believe in Jesus, given that Christianity as a religion is centred around belief in Jesus, whom you are taught to believe in from an early age, therefore that is what you understand and believe to be true. However, for a Jew to believe in Jesus is not acceptable, and is clear proof of absolute ignorance in Judaism specifically with regards to the Jewish concept of the purpose of The Messiah. Therefore, this guy is ignorant of his own religion of Judaism, which is why he now believes in Jesus and thinks that his belief in Jesus is compatible as a Jew, which it most definitely is not!

I absolutely loved this. My favorite coming to Jesus testimonies are my Jewish brothers and sisters. So amazing to see what God is doing. Praise God!
You might like to research A. U. Michelson, born 1800s, preaching on the radio back in mid 1950s, and how he moved my heart. He held a doctorate in law, was a judge, lived in California. He published a magazine, The Jewish Hope, monthly. I can't recall much of his testimony, but will never forget how he would say, 'Oh, if you could only know my Jesus, how you would love Him. ' Unforgettable. I believe he was born in Europe. Zola Levitt was a wonderful teacher, a favorite of mine.

Wonderful! I grew up in a Christian congregation. But for us the Old Testament, was just old Jewish stuff. Much later in life I learned the truth that the Hebrew Bible is all about Jesus Messiah. It is so rich and exciting. Delighted to hear your story. Now I cringe when I hear so-called Christians claiming that there is nothing worth knowing in the Old Testament. Keep up the great work. I loved Rabbi Jason's testimony, praise God for this man! As I was listening, it reminded me so much of some things Dr Chuck Missler often spoke of. He would always speak of the importance of the whole Word of God. He often said" The New Testament is in the Old Testament concealed and the Old Testament is in the New Testament revealed." He also spoke about how everything in the OT, especially the feasts all point to Jesus. The first 3 feasts point to Jesus as his life on earth, the last 3 feasts point to is second coming & the feast in the middle points at the church. He also instructed us that if after prayer, before the study of scripture, if you ever find yourself not understanding a particular passage...that you should place Jesus in the middle of the scripture and it will help you more easily to understand. Dr Chuck passed a few years back & now that I have found Rabbi Sovel, I am very excited to learn some of his teaching and insights to continue on my journey of learning!

The Messiah comes from King David ascendance, if he's god , he has no ascendance from Joseph. this all non-sense concept of trinity is so embarrassing so stupid. With the Jewish people coming to Christ and expounding and illuminating on the true meaning of things we thought we knew from the old testament were only in part .I can not watch a testimony of a Jewish person without just being awed , wowed ,blessed. Absolutely agree! We need to read the WHOLE bible to have those wonderful truths revealed to us. I was reading the story of Joseph over and over some years ago, because every time I read the part where he revealed himself to his brothers I wept and wept but didn’t know why, it just moved me so much. Then one day I saw how Joseph was a type of the Lord Jesus Christ and His brothers (the Jews) didn’t recognise Him when He came to them……..but ONE DAY He will reveal Himself to them hallelujah! We must read the old and the new because right from the very beginning in the book of Genesis to the very end, the book of Revelation, it speaks of Jesus….in the Old, the New is concealed and in the New the Old is revealed. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you, to reveal these truths to you, it’s so wonderful and I’m only just scratching the surface, but what a blessing!

Praise God. I had a some what similar experience in coming to the Lord. Brought up as an atheistic, in my late teens started searching for more. I too found peace in Zen Buddhism, meditation, martial arts and yoga. 14 years later, one evening while deep in meditation, I felt the presence of a powerful being in the room with me. Then, not by speaking, but more like telepathy, these words came into my mind, "Paul you've been doing these things for all these years, now I want you to turn and look at My Son." I started reading the gospels shortly after that. When I got to John 3, especially verses 13 and 31, I realized Jesus came from where I was trying to get to, through meditation. I realized It was a place that meditation is not able to bring anyone to. So that night I gave my live to Christ. We have an awesome God!

Love people's testimonies... I was a heroin and benzo / Klonopin addict for 28 years until I was carjacked 7 years ago, kicked in the head so many times that I received a traumatic brain injury. Lying on the ground bleeding I told God I was sorry and yelled out to him to please help me and forgive me while laying there and I have been holding on tight ever since! Yeah I know where my mind and heart can go so I am hanging on for life! I am the way, the truth and the life Jesus said. Satan is messing with me but I feel the love peace and joy of God in my heart and I have hope! Thank you my Lord God.. my savior Jesus the Christ! One for Israel is a great site on UA-cam also. You are in my prayers like all of you are my brothers and sisters! 😏🙂 oh yeah I am clean from heroin and benzos.. had a couple glasses of wine with a neighbor the other day trying to talk to her about the Lord cuz she drinks at least one bottle every day but! I don't need to do that again.. for obvious reasons. Again please say a prayer for me and yeah I go out and share with people everyday everywhere I go about what happened to me and who rescued me, is rescuing me and will rescue his children! Praying for all of you right now! Say one for me please and thank you!

I’m going through a church change right now, and I’m finding new enthusiasm that I haven’t had in decades. I wasn’t in a place God didn’t want me to be, because i was there on assignment. But sometimes an assignment isn’t always fun, but it teaches a lesson. The newness is great.

Yes!! A beautiful call arose in me from the Holy Spirit a few years ago to acquaint myself with the beginning of the Bible - the old testament. He showed me the correlation between the two covenants, the connection to Christ, and revealed His nature and character. I was able to attend a Seder Meal at my protestant church. It truly was a spiritual, humbling experience that left me speechless and in awe of our mighty Savior and Living God.

EXCELLENT TESTIMONY BLESSED BE GOD, IT IS REALLY AMAZING.-
There is so much truth and wisdom here. I truly believe we must understand and interact with totality of scripture. I'm a Confessional Lutheran, so we place an extremely high value on Holy Scripture. Rabbi Jason is 100% right about how we must never settle for half the treasure. This is pure Law and Gospel. The Law shows us how we are sinners and the Gospel shows how God fulfilled His promise and saved us by taking on our humanity and joining it to His divinity and living perfectly according to the law and ultimately becoming the perfect unblemished sacrifice that atoned for the sin of the world and which also cleansed us of our own sin, and all He asks of us is to trust in His word and follow His teaching. Sometimes you can't help but sit in grateful amazement, overawed into silence when you think about what God has done for us in and through Christ Jesus.

Love Rabbi Jason Sobel, he is a consultant for the amazing 'The Chosen' series. I've listened to some other interviews, he is fascinating to hear speak about Our Lord. What always struck me (as a catholic) was Jesus was Jewish and His own kind (not all), but many didn't believe in Him. Pretty sad. But more are coming to realize the TRUTH.
