Can you guys pleeeeease review the Audeze Maxwell Wireless headphones? I know they're marketed as a gaming headset, but I have a sneaking suspicion that they'd make a simply excellent pair of everyday wireless headset for people who care about sound and functionality, but not so much about ANC. I really trust your reviews on audio products, and I hope you see this and consider doing this review. Either way, a big fan of your content. 🙌🏽
@Pratyush___ I have the Audeze Maxwell, PX8 and Focal Bathys. In terms of comfort for outdoor use, the Maxwell are not good. They were meant for indoor use. In terms of sound quality with the right EQ settings, then the Maxwell are better than both Focal Bathys and PX8. I just wish Audeze would make a pair with ANC and comfortable for outdoor use.
Looking forward to your review of Stax Spirit S10. Definitely the tws I am most curious about at the moment.. And maybe the dongle-including AKG N5 (and N9), remembered this when your video talked about iphones and codecs and calls. And you should try aviot te-zx1-pnk . Love those and would love to hear your opinions on them.
Great review as always. I do have one question. Do you change the ear pads on this new headphones the same way you do with the old one? Blind listeners everywhere want to know the answer. Grin.
On Samsung phones you need to use Adapt Sound to tune the sound engine to each individual headphone connected to the phone. That then boosts the phone's audio engine to match the headphones and your ears. Also turn off Dolby Atmos etc as that messes with audio even wireless paired headphones. The 4 band EQ is also stored direct to the S5, so no matter what you connect them to, the same EQ will be heard as long as each phone/device is sending out a clean signal so no processing by Windows/other software etc.
The Dolby Atmos is almost always disabled for us. Adapt sound adds another phone related variable which we don't want when we test headphones. So that's turned off too. Yes agree about the 4 band EQ, we said as much in the review. Thanks for your comment! 🙏🏾
Hmm, I paid 600 euro a year ago for my focal bathys directly at my Hi-Fi Dealer in Frankfurt am Main. This build quality is ridiculous for 500 Euro. Waaaayyyy too much plastic was used. This price tag is hardcore Apple Airpods Max territory. I see the real price of the S5 in the region 300-350 Euro, especially without ANC.
Hi guys… on the subject of Edifier… any chance you are going to take a look at the new Edifier W830NB headphones? The price is good but are the headphones good? They are claiming 94 hours of battery life!!
The rationale for type-c to usb-a cable is that, like Momentum 4, they don't have USB DAC mode, so that they constantly drain energy out of one's precious smartphone. So that's not their primary use case. While having lossless audio from a PC or a laptop makes sense in their case.
Very curious about these, thanks for the review! Do you know of any wireless over the ear headphones that have the AptX Low Latency codec, besides the Shure Aonic 50? ps: I just tried the new connex app with my WH950NB and it works! I couldn't connect to them via the app but once I connected the headphones via the regular bluetooth settings (Android) the app recognized them and I can control the headphones with the app.
I have ordered accentum plus after watching all your videos They will help shiped by day after tomorrow I got them at just 13500₹ or 165$ I am a student so even that was a lil too much but cant wait to use them Thanks for full form shout tho Love u guys ❤❤
Could you compare these with Audeza Maxwell maybe ? I curently made an order on Maxwell, i recently got Edifier speakers and i love them. Wouldnt mind giving their headphones a go too, its just hard to find and info on these. I want high quality audio, but i also play CS2 (fps game).
@@DHRME That is a different story. I have myself a couple of wired headphones from Focal and Dan Clark. But if you pay for a pair battery operated Headphones $500, those ANC and Transparency are basic feature along with a fine tuned sound.
No way. They look cheap and companies in this price range aren’t planning on selling many of these. The lower end models might get some love if priced correctly.
Great review guys. That price 😅 damn! They look really good though, but I didn't like the logo slapped on the cup without it they would look so minimal. I recently reviewed the momentum 4 I wonder how these would compare against them, the momentum 4 can be bought for $230-250 sometimes during a sale.
Too expensive, even with the improvements. At that price, you'd expect at least ANC, ambient mode, and a wear sensor. Even at the S3's price you'd expect those. The Space One has all of those. The Q45 has most, except for the wear sensor, as well as the 950nb. The 1More Sonoflow has that feature set for crying out loud! Is it going to be 5x as good in terms of sound? No. Nothing is. In my time in the audiophile hobby, better sound mostly just means "different". When you finally find that "balance" in the frequency response, you'd be happy - the right amount of lows, mids, highs, clarity, energy, and overall musicality. Reason why I'm focusing on the tech? Because these are wireless headphones. All those conveniences, ESPECIALLY AT THIS PRICE, comes with the territory. If you just want great sound, get a Beyerdynamic, or a Grado. A $500 Beyer or Grado will sound better, if you only care about sound. As always, great review guys!

Guys, please do a review on the brand new Cambridge Audio Melomania P100 headphones. It's Cambridge's very first over-the-ear headphones.
I wish you’d share what equipment you are using to form these frequency response graphs. Please share!

I'm buying this just for the 4 band equalizer.
When you got to the metal part, I was sold. Ordering this today lol

@@sleeper1023 bro i have s3 i don’t think they are great for metal, you will miss the wow effect of others headphones like momentum 4
I believe edifier says s5 has aac in their website.
Thank you for an awesome review
Glad it was helpful!
Iphone doesn't have a DAC, which is why you have to use a usb to 3.5 connector with an inbuilt DAC and / or amplifier
Yup you’re right! DAC Has Remained in My Edifier.
Did this release already? I couldn't find any info on it

Edifier says they DO support AAC.

Too rich for my blood. Great review guys. Cheers.
Nice to see you back! Hope you’re well.
Are they anything like The Audeze Maxwell's ???
oooh nice setup behind you mate
Thanks!
Hi guys, is the sony ult wear review coming up?
Edifier Stax S5 supports the AAC codec, so your information that it doesn’t is misleading.
Why does your ad blocks yourself..😢😢😢
In the edifier official site says it supports AAC!!! is it true??? nice video thanks!!
@grigorischaralampopoulos4999 i run my s3 in aac mode since my samsung doesnt allow apt x so yeah the s5 will support it!
Wow DT fan!!!!

By the way, your purchase link for the S5 does not work.
Yet to be released. Tomorrow, I think.
the dac is not in the iphone
Yup you’re right!
i have ordered senheiser accemtum plus at 13k . Good Decision????
They're decent headphones - saw our review?
Yes I have seen your review
$500 for a headphone with no ANC or Transparent mode is pretty steep.
People pay more for headphones that aren’t wireless. :)

Is this actually a collab with Stax or just a branding issue
I think they bought Stax if I’m not mistaken.
really good review but this headset is really expensive for a "cheap" brand like Edifier. Build quality should be premium for this price
Guys !!! Thank you very much for this review :)
I bought mine there is one hour. Do they "crack" like the s3 when you do exercices or run?
They're not immune to it. Still plastic, maybe slightly better plastic. Personally would not use there for running!

Nice to see more options, although in would expect them to be a bit cheaper.
