I use Harpic Blue on my taps. Just pour it on the lime scale and scrub with scouring pad straight away and the lime scale will come off don't let the Harpic Blue settle at all on the taps just scrub directly after applying and rince thoroughly. I usually give a soapy water wash to the taps just to make sure it is gone completely

No scrubbing with the white vinegar , but I suppose it depends how bad they are ,but I will also give the harpic a try next time many thanks .

True I usually wash it off with a sponge pad using light aggetation with the pad and have to scrub a little harder if the lime is more intense or stronger. I must try the vinegar as I use vinegar regularly on tools, my shower , sink drains and on the clay in my vegetable beds to replenish the soil it is more friendlier and natural. Unfortunately I can't use it as a weed killer because we don't get the strong hot weather here needed for it to be effective on weeds
