- Simon Crum ( Aka Ferlin Husky ) Imitation Ernest Tubb and Hank Snow
Ernest Tubb Letters Have No Arms Lyrics
I just got your letter dearest sweetheart
And darlin', I miss you oh, so much
Your letter has cheered me, but I'm lonesome
Lonesome just to feel your lovin' touch
Letters have no arms, dear to hold me
Kisses on paper are so cold
These sweet things you write in your letter
I want to be with you dear, when told
Letters never bring me the touch of your hand
Or none of your sweet lovin' charms
I get so lonesome for you, darlin'
And you know that letters have no arms - Розваги
I had to ask my parents about this guy because I wasn't familiar with him. I had no idea it was the alter ego of Ferlin Husky ! His imitations were great.
Ole Ferlin Husky.
Gene Sheppard used to tour around with him when she was just a kid. Her parents were worried that if they had of got married, what would the kids look like, a Sheppard or a Husky. lol. True story.
Jean Sheppard is Hawkshaw Hawkins widow.
That was pretty dang good there.
Awesome
He was my uncle. Which was your favorite Ferlin Husky song? Did you know he dropped the “e” from his name for the stage?
Wings of a Dove.
Flat River,MO. Flat River is now called Park Hills.
At the huge Capitol Records show at the Hollywood Bowl way back in 1967 , Ferlin brought down the house as Simon Crum doing “Country Music Is Here To Stay”.
He was from Flat River,Missouri, now called Park Hills,Missouri. Great singer. Great imitator.
Where is the one him doing Hank snow
Thanks…
Hardly a professional ending...
The Ernest Tubb impression was better than the Lefty impression, but it is pretty hard to do Lefty Frizzell.
Poor.
