6 Tips for an Amazing VidCon!

Vidcon 2015 is shaping up to be an amazing week, but it can be a tough one if you're not prepared. Here are some tips and tricks I've learned over the years to make it the best one for you! And I do mean it - if you see me, PLEASE COME SAY HI!

I highly agree with all of these tips! Also make sure to go say hi to your favorite creator in general if they're just walking around and seem like they're open to it. If they seem busy or like they're running somewhere, leave them be. My favorite interaction last year was when I accidentally ran into Sprinkle of Glitter (Louise) and Hazel Hayes in the Hilton corridors and helped distract crazy fans from bugging them.
I'm so excited for my second Vidcon! Also, Steve can you let us know where you're going to be when you're running around? I'd love to say hi at some point.

These are good for all cons you may attend. For self care, I suggest the 1-3-5 rule: each day make sure you take 1 shower, eat 3 meals, and get at least 5 hours of sleep.

I went to the first VidCon, but have never been able to get back. I know the number of guests has exploded, as well as the number of youtube-famous people that attend. The important thing to keep in mind is that everyone you want to see there is also going to be just as tired/busy/stressed by crowds as you. It's exciting to spot people you love, and to perhaps have a spontaneous fan-celebrity interaction, but if it looks like they are too busy or overwhelmed (or if they are in a private space), give them some respectful distance.
