The vast majority of students only go to see speakers if they get extra credit for it. Those people spend more time drinking, getting high, going to sporting events, and/or going to concerts. There's only a minority of hardcore politically oriented people. A vocal minority, but a minority.

Yes Adam I was just going to say this. From my experience in Canada, University-College is not this open utopia of ideas freely expressed and argued. Its hardcore far leftists, many openly Marxists, many who are mentally ill(Yes, Im serious), who are beyond reproach, and who have never done anything outside of the school setting and have very little idea of how "the real world" works. They also believe they know more than others and are smarter than everyone else which is a dangerous way to stop learning, to stop challenging your own beliefs and to stop growing as a human being. A student wants to do well in College and get that degree so only a simpleton would disagree with the all-powerful person who is in charge of the course that will help you obtain it.
