Hmm, without actually being at my laptop and doing it, I would suggest this: draw the oval egg shape and revolve it only 180 degrees so it is half an egg. Then draw an offset line the depth of your groove on the inside of your egg edge, on the flat side/half of the egg. Then extrude between the two lines as an extrude remove. Then just mirror the half you have to make up the full egg 👍

When i go to trim the bottom square where the threads connect do not leave the parallel lines connected like the other side.
just make sure you are trimming the correct lines, and that you have drawn the lines using the right process (rectangles and circles etc.)
