I live in East Peoria, Illinois, USA. We call the city center Downtown. We are riverfront cities and they have lots of markets, music and food festivals. Different ethnicities food and cultures will be featured. Plus lots of boating. There are restaurants that have docks that you can pull your boat right up to. Lots of summer fun!
I love this! I've lived in Birmingham for nearly 2 years and I love it, I lived next to gas street basin for my first year of college. I even have a lock on that bridge with my partner 💕

I was born in Birmingham and all my family lives up there still and are from Harborne! My favourite thing in Birmingham is Worley Woods because it's so nostalgic for me, my mum and nan used to take me there as a little girl. Now i live near Northampton and my favourite thing around here are all the country parks like Sywell and Brixworth. Also spend a lot of time in Leicester for uni where 100% the best thing is the New Walk Museum! If you ever get a chance to go it's so interesting (bearing in mind I'm a slightly biased history student) love your vids! Xxx
USA 🇺🇸 West Covina, CA I love that Disneyland is only about a half hour from where I live! Being an annual pass holder and living so close to Disney makes spontaneous visits so doable!

My favourite thing to do in nottingham is in the summer is visit Nottingham by the sea in the market square which comes for the summer holidays and also our biggest and longest running travelling fair the annual goose fair in October
Love it! I also never have change and it's a ruddy nightmare for this non-driver! You went to some of my fave places so I will just add other ones... In town (yep TOWN!): the Library (love the roof terrace and the story steps in the children's library), the Museum & Art Gallery, ThinkTank, hanging around Brindleyplace in general, and for drinks with adults(!) somewhere like the Cosy Club. Out of town: local park/walks, Botanics, Winterbourne, Clent Hills. For close to home sustenance: Boston Tea Party, Damascena, the Junction, the Bell, Arco... x P.s. I think you know exactly where I am! "This is a local shop for local people..."
I'm from Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the US and I love going to Bradford Beach which is a beach right downtown on Lake Michigan where you can swim and play volleyball, and they have a snack bar and a custard stand!
I'm from a little town called Gympie in Australia. There isn't much to do here but my favourite thing would probably be to go for lunch at one of our nice cafes
We’ve always meant London when we refer to ‘town’ within my family but when I lived near Southampton as a teenager I would meet people in town and mean So’t’on OR go into London and call it going to town! I guess we just relied on the context to say which town was which! Now I live in Hertfordshire and London is my only town.
Uk, ramsgate I love going to our lovely beach or driving to one of the quieter bays around Thanet. Also on a Sunday afternoon u might c me at the bandstand in broadstairs listening to some big band music xx This sat however we have quiz night at one of the local churches. We have a day rider ticket for just £4 and u can use any of our buses around Thanet or even to birchington on sea .
Bab seriously - it is so weird seeing Cannon Hill in the sunshine, yesterday we had a massive storm and I was knee deep next to the fair trying to walk back to Stirchley because the Pershore Road was closed! Will all be good when you get back though, I am sure! Hope you are having a great time!
I’m from Liverpool and my favourite thing to do in town (yes, we also call the city centre “town”) has got to be the ferry across the Mersey. The Liverpool waterfront is truly spectacular 😍
Hi Emma! Just wanted to say I love watching ur videos I joined you from Louise's channel a while back and although I've no children I love catching up with u and ur family's adventures!
I really enjoyed this day in the life - it's made me want to visit Birmingham! I live in quite a small town so we usually say we're going into town if we go to a bigger town nearby. There's not much to do in the town I live in, but there's a lot of countryside, which is fun to explore. Either that, or going to the local cafe for something yummy!
I have so many happy childhood memories from Cannon hill and the nature centre! Now I'm a mom and we only live about a 10 minute drive away but my children arent very enthusiastic about it so we tend to go to the Lickey Hills or have a drive to Warwick and visit St Nicholas park xx
Im from Sao Paulo - Brazil. As a big city I enjoy the variety things to do, I can find all the tipes of food all day, most of things is 24 hrs (is on of the citys that never sleep)

Thank you for another fab video xxx
I live in Newcastle Australia at the mo (actually moving to UK in 8 weeks though 🤪). Best, and probably only thing to do is the beach, pretty good all year round it was 23 degrees today in “autumn”. Also 5 million cafes, most of which are good. The buses however are 26 minutes late regularly.
I use the ticket app too. When my kids were little we always went to the museum in town. I remember my son was about 5 and the dinosaur scared him and he cried 😂😂😂😂 he's 29 now, think I'll remind him about it when he calls 😂😂😂😂
I’m from Manchester and live in Cardiff and I call both ‘Town’. 😂 it’s just a thing. In Manchester I like going to the museums and art galleries. In Cardiff I like going to the seaside x
I'm from Birmingham and we call it town too , my partner is from Liverpool he called it city centre . I'm amazed how you all looked so happy travelling on the bus , do you think it's because it's more of an adventure going on the bus because you drive ? my 6 year old would definitely have lost patients after the 3rd bus
We're in Manchester and the city center is town for us too! In town we love the Manchester museum and the museum of science and industry. On sunny days we go out to nt places like Lyme Park or Quarry Bank Mill which is my all time favorite place!
I call my city centre town I live in Essex so when I go to Chelmsford I like to go to the Everyman cinema as they have sofas and they deliver you in food during the film 🤗 I hope you are having an amazing holiday it looks great ❤️
I am from tasmania and we call going to our city of Hobart “going to town” What a great idea to have an all day hop on hop off ticket!!!! Fab!!!! Looked like a great yummy day out 😘
Lovely vlog! 😍Went to the nature centre last month with all the family, it's fab. My hubby gets given a yearly family pass to all museums & art galleries in B'ham for his bday so the kids are forever in Think Tank. It's such a good place, rain or shine and keeps them occupied. Walsall Arboretum is also amazing, the Splashpark is superb & visitor centre is nice for lunch x
Where I am in Australia we call the city centre town also .. but that might be old-school too from my grandparents day. P.S. we don't wear socks with sandals 😕 but love your darling kids
Niagara Falls, Canada. And my fave thing to do is stay away from downtown Niagara Falls where a bazillion tourists gather to zip line down to the water falls lol. I enjoy sitting out on a bar balcony have some nibbles and a drink. Or explore any of the hiking trails or parks.
Norway, Oslo city, Hovedøya (the name translates to: the main island). 8 min by ferrie available all year round and on the same ticket as everything else; bus, tube, tram and train. Beautiful forests, beaches and cultural heritag.

Great video. In Hull we have the marina which is on the Humber. Can see the Humber bridge from it, the Deep (submarium) and the up and coming fruit market area. Great food and drinks for both adults and kids. Should come up and have a weekend here ❤️❤️👍👍
We say we're going downtown if we're going into the city center. I live in Calgary, Canada. Born in the UK though lived there till I was 16 years old.
Great day out! My 'Town' is Wolverhampton, my favourite thing to do is shop. When I'm being extra naughty I'll sneak a patisserie Valerie in with a coffee. Also House of Fraser bought our big historical store Beatties so a mooch around then perhaps lunch in Marks and Spencer. Now I've got kids not so much. We tend to go to West Park which is similar to Canon Hill but without animals. Have a picnic and try not helicopter parent on the high play park equipment.
Today in Alabama it’s raining and it’s also a national holiday (Memorial Day) so we’re going to one of our favorite places a few towns over. It’s called Unclaimed Baggage and it’s what happens when you lose your suitcase on a flight or you never pick it up from baggage claim. This place buys the suitcases in giant lots, opens them, cleans the stuff, and then sells it at thrift store prices. There’s always all kinds of weird stuff like oriental rugs and surfboards along with the more normal clothing, handbags, electronics, books, etc. They even have a museum of things they’ve found that includes a 1000 year old Torah and the Hoggle puppet from the movie Labyrinth. It’s a good rainy day activity.
Find of the day for me: a pair of brand new boohoo jeans with the tags still on them for $6. Interesting things I saw: A beautiful very elaborate Indian wedding dress covered in gold and red rhinestones (diamantés?) and an entire giant box full of kids tablets (leapfrog, etc.) just chucked in there; many with the protective cases still on.
We literally have almost virtually nothing left here in Basingstoke. All the decent pubs are disappearing, we have loads of Costa's/Starbucks/Greggs. Only thing left is the 2 museums, the lesuire park, and the paddling pools in Eastrop! We have started nicknaming this place "Death's waiting room." 😒 I want to move sooooo bad now...
I live in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis which is at the very top of the north west of scotland🤙🏻 it’s a quite small island but it’s so beautiful, the beaches are always compared to the Caribbean ahah it’s honestly so pretty on a good day❤️ my favourite thing to do is probably to go to the Lews Castle because it’s so nice! Hope yous are having a fun time in disney x
I grew up in Oldbury so Town for me is Birmingham. I've now moved to Wombourne & get very confused when my friends & neighbours call Wolverhampton Town. No that's wrong!!! 🤔🤔🤔
