It's been a while since Arsenal had someone who can hit a long passes consistently. We won't have to rely on Ben white only.
Ben White is awful with long passes brah, only Xaka and Elneny have been doing that
Odegaard needs to get near the box to function well as a playmaker ..dependent on short passes and interchanges..this guy only needs the half way line to cause damage ...this creates a wonderful plethora of options for Arteta when facing low blocks and high blocks ..and add the possible addition of Raphinha and the threat is very unpredictable

If you have watched Arsenal's matches you can clearly point out against big teams they struggled to create chances because opposition defense completely marked Ødegaard who is Gunner's only creative force. He has no support in creativity as a world class team must have more than one playmaker. With the addition of Fabio Viera Ødegaard burden can be reduced

Arsenal didn't buy him to start, he's going to provide cover for Odegaard as well as Saka on the right. We could've gone for s bigger name but would they agree to come as a cover? I doubt it. Good signing but only makes sense if we buy a Fabian Ruiz or a Savic to start next to the other two. Young guy with a lot of potential. Worth 35 mil the same as Odegaard at this stage of his career when he's just taking off? I doubt it. We shouldn't have paid more than 20 mil but he has s lot of upside so I don't mind!
Honestly, his delivery is amazing for a guy who hasn't played a full season week in week out, his technique is natural so his ceiling is very high
He's a steal for that price now, we rejected bids of up to 30m for ESR and he had only played a full season up until that point
The market is ridiculous so for us to pull this off and take weight off of Saka and Ö without any drop in terms of level is brilliant
