25:05 When Perkz says Febiven is the 2nd best in the league (Note: not counting Caps as a mid), calling Febiven "Pretty reliable" is the perfect example as why pro players don't take casters too serious and claim they create naratives. Don't get me wrong I respect and love Vedius and he is one of the best, so it's unfortunate he is my example right now. But still, a perfect example nonetheless.
I agree the casters/analysts get too wrapped up in the narratives sometimes, but that's part of their job. E.g. Carzzy is being called the new Rekless because they need a story to frame the FNC / MAD match.
That said, I don't think Febiven is a great example. He had a very poor 2019. I'm delighted he's back on his feet and has a better team to back him up, but to suggest that he's the 2nd best mid in the league and that disagreement is "creating a narrative" seems a bit much. Perkz' opinion is not gospel. The pros don't even watch all of the games for the other teams.

Also when Perkz says on a podcast that Febiven is playing really good and people should realize he is currently is the 2nd best mid in the league I take his word for it since he actually knows what he is talking about. 2019 was last year so saying he had a bad year is than arbitrary now. If you feel the need to refute my points please use actual arguments.

How could anyone possibly do the former without the latter? If you hype a narrative in (e.g.) a trailer, it will inevitably influence the way people perceive the game and the players within it.

Sure, you agree with Perkz, but that doesn't mean that anyone who disagrees is simply "creating narratives". I imagine Vedius genuinely believes Febiven isn't 2nd best. It's not narrative, it's analysis Perkz happens to disagree with. And again, Perkz has admitted several times he doesn't watch all the stage games. He has scrims to go on, which gives him extra perspective, but nobody is the 'One True Source of Truth'.

Suggesting that past performance and record has nothing to do with an assessment of his quality is absurd. Any rational person would take past record into account. That doesn't mean record is everything; obviously people can change and that's great. But take Doublelift; he's playing like shite. Are we going to say "DL is terrible, past record has no value?". No of course not, one has to take into account that there is greater skill there and will probably return.
Your argument seems to be that if Perkz makes one comment on his stream, all the casters have to slavishly agree or else they're sabotaging players' careers by giving them insufficiently praiseworthy compliments. And Vedius wasn't even criticising Febiven, he called him reliable.

Misfits pretty much controlled the match though, and they had fun.

Larsen better than Berg? Berg is never the reason TSM failed to make worlds, you can't say that for Larsen
History doesn't matter and bjergsen is definitely one of the reasons TSM hasn't been relevant for a long time now. Bjergsen is washed up and not the good player he once was. He is still good on NA standards ofc, but not internationally good. Larsen is way better.
Bjergsen is giga washed from playing in NA.
Still have yet to show any proof a nobody solo que hero is better than one of legacy players in league. Last year the only reason TSM missed world is how the organization handled the Jungle situation, 2018 they missed because Mithy was hard inting, and not calling a good game. 2019 Rouge missed worlds due to mid and bot differential. Again show something to prove otherwise, because Larsen better than Berg is like saying CBLOL > LEC because they haven't been swept out of 2 straight finals
@@MitDau87 Ok, i will give you some raw stats and while looking at them, keep in mind that larssen is playing against WAY better players too. The stats are from this spring split. L is for Larssen and B is for Bjergsen.

Gold per min: L 402 - B 357
Gold%: L 23.2% - B 21.1%
Kill Participation: L 65% - B 63.7%
CS dif @15 min: L +14.9 - B +3
Gold dif @15 min: L +398 - B +172
XP dif @15 min: L +557 - B +23
Damage per min: L 464.1 - B 404.6
Damage%: L 30.8% - B 23.1%
Solo kills: L 7 - B 2
Vision score per min: L 0.91 - B 0.88
Yeah, it's pretty clear Larssen is the better player. Already his stats are better and the impact of that gets multiplied by the fact that he is playing against better players than who bjergsen is playing against.

Lol. I'm just messing with the paralel between TSM and Misfits, as both teams started 0-2 and then got 4 straight wins goint to the first match of week 4 against the undefeated 6-0 team of their respective region, C9 and G2. I don't really think TSM will stomp C9, there's no way, even if they win it would be a close match.

@@deadmanapex3474 Not true at all. LCS has better 3-10 teams than LEC. While the LEC has 1 good team that's internationally viable it's not a deep region at all.
@@MitDau87 then pls tell me how many EU teams made it out of groups last worlds and how many NA teams did that
@@littlepole323 We are not talking about last year. How many of those rosters are the same? Splyce quit league, FNC lost Broxah. This year the LEC has 4 competitive teams, and 6 teams that are going for 2021 by developing over half the roster. This year the LCS is deeper as a league. G2 maybe better, but LCS 3-10 is better.
@@MitDau87 every year eu looses some of the best player to na but that usually doesnt change anything. This year we have good rookies and we are playing the meta pretty well so i think well do great, well see at msi and rift rivals
