- Tim Howard was a stalwart of Everton FC. During his ten year tenure at the club, he has seen his fair share of players come and go.
Speaking on the Fozcast, Howard singles out former Dutch attacking player, Royston Drenthe as the most horrific signing he has seen.
Drenthe, having left Real Madrid only managed to make 21 appearances for the Toffees, in a year long loan.
He failed to recapture the form that saw him seal a dream transfer to Real Madrid & retired at the age of 29 years old.

A lot of skill no work ethic, sad to see. He was a powerhouse
Sad story , in fayenoord was awesome..Maybe too young for money-fame - Real madrid..But Drenthe was a pure talent.
De naam is Royston Drenthe, kom niet veel takkie
Ik neem het veld over het veld is van mij
Hahah what a legend, he is now on a show with Andy van der Meijde and Glenn Helder two other footballers who failed because of their behaviour and spending😂😂
He’s been dumb, but already now he realizes that 😅
Royston smh
Royston is a good example of a good have been..
He was a brilliant player !!¡!!!
not was, could have been
Bad coaching
Really, you are nuts 😂😂😂
Not at all. Good talent bad character. Can’t expect much from these people tho.
That’s one hilarious excuse you got there LoL you’re talking abt Bernd Schuster, Pellegrini, Mourinho & peak David Moyes. The amount of players who absolutely flourished under those men is staggering. Their knowledge of the game was immense but, yea, sure, “BaD CoAcHiNg.” No, Drenthe’s attitude towards training was an absolute joke. He failed because he literally just didn’t try hard enough…
Multiple clubs, same behavior. Coaching wasn’t the issue, my man.
nope, bad parenting
