Getting a proof is definitely a good idea_ Once I received a proof that had 2 copies of the same book stuck together making it a much thicker book than I expected. It appears they forgot to delete previous upload. I love this cover you created_ congratulations Beroko_

didnt think of premium being glossy and glossy hard to draw on. thank you. Publishing a learn to draw book and that is good info.
Thanks for your comment. It's not that it's hard to draw, it's more like I can draw, but when I erase it, it leaves a mark. I think glossy paper is not suitable for drawing.

Thanks for your video, informative to know about the paper type. Is the standard paper one where you can write on printed areas? About the white gutter, that one might be added so it can be glued properly. Some bookbinders seem to need that. For the jumping pages, this happens if the printing house wasn't careful while printing or the bookbinder didn't take proper care. I think they take little care with these kdp books because the process of printing and binding is a lot for single books 🙈I work at a printing house, so I know a bit about the process 😅
Thank you for watching. Standard color paper can be written on the printed areas. Premium color paper can also be written on, but it has a slippery texture, so it leaves a thin mark when erased with an eraser. Of course, I don't think the same paper is used everywhere in the world, so there would be a bit of a difference. You work at a printing house! Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Thank you for your comment. I also think that Premium is not so suitable for Marker coloring. I've seen a UA-camr say that markers bleed on Standard paper, but I haven't experienced any bleeding. In your experience, how has KDP paper been for drawing / coloring? I am working on a coloring book concept and wondering if it is typical for inks to bleed through the standard paper. My design currently does not contain any colorable content on the left side of the page, but there is some supplemental content printed there that would be affected if there were issues. どうもありがとうございます！

In my experience, the standard paper is suitable for coloring books. You can color without bleeding through. The ink does show through thinly on the back, so as you said, it would be better not to include any colorable content on the left side.
However, I don't think the exact same paper is used everywhere in the world.
In this video, she says that the standard paper is not suitable for coloring books (around 19:55 in this video).

So maybe the paper quality varies from region to region. Or maybe it's because of the different types of the ink in the pens.
Anyway, from what I've tried, I think that the standard paper can be used comfortably for coloring. (I'd like to make a video about how it looks when colored.)

I have the same problem with the white lines. Currently awaiting an answer from support.

No. In my case, I ended up not choosing premium color because of the texture of the paper.
The white lines don't appear on the standard color. If I use premium color, I think it's inevitable that white lines will appear.
However, I haven't asked support on that issue, so I hope you can get a solution.
@@beroko_namiuchi_ill interesting to know...sadly I chose a Hardcover book and only premium colour is available, not that it can be changed after being published anyways... crazy how this issue can not be fixed with such a big company.
