This is such a great complement to what I was encountering in Rob Burbea’s Seeing That Frees! At first there was ease as we went thru sound, and emotions, and thoughts, but then as you were saying “everything vanishing…” I was seeing wires and lights in front of me and thinking “yes, all these things he has mentioned are vanishing but some things remain (solid, don’t seem to vanish ever)… and then they blinked in and out and I realized that it was momentary attention and ideas and thoughts of “wires” and “lights” that was reifying them but as soon as I returned to resting in awareness, even those things actually did keep vanishing even if seemingly slightly less often!
Great sit Michael :) Thank you. Looking forward to the Dec. 12 SFDC Death Sangha. All you lovely people out there, donate to SFDC if you can! This content is invaluable.
Thank you! I find the vanishing most obvious with hearing. I find with the other ones I only really notice the changing nature of the objects but not so much the moment where it vanishes. With the last one, the sense of being a meditator/self I only really have moments where a thought pops up and "remembers" that a few moments ago there was no feeling of meditator/self but as soon as I think that the self is back.
You GONE done it again! Bad jk 😂. I really appreciated this mashup. As always thank you Michael for your generosity and insight. Wishing you well during lockdowns. 🙏💗
My question is, I can attaint to this state very easy like takes around 30 40 min, but I notice in fact I'm aware every single moment, still when consciousness fades out and in feels like you going to sleep. The difference between you're energised, but the body is completely shut down. Like a dead stone. Consciousness only arrising when there are objects to notice, if there is no objects to notice there is no consciousness. That's what I did observe. So that's why very much like feels you're going to "sleep" Am I right?
Consciousness should be bright and clear, whether there are objects arising or not. Sleep is not a good comparison. If consciousness feels fading, then that is probably subtle dullness. If it is, the apply just a tiny bit of effort to stay more continuously aware.
@@MichaelTaft108 It happen: When I go deeper states sometimes happens after some exhalation everything stops and then pops back what is that? like you die for a moment or just no idea what is that Is that normal? I'm very sharp and bright while this happening, because the very next moment I remember everything but as I go further it happens 3 4 times under one sitting sessions. Thanks in advance.

Love this one. Thank you so much for your offerings 🙏🏽❤️
Awesome mediation Michael. I've done this one 5 days in a row and every day I notice some new aspect or subtlety in vipashana. Thanks.
Loved it. Especially the subject dropping away and awareness remaining. 🙏
Beautiful beautiful BEAUUTIIFULL. Gonna follow allll of these. Hopefully I can develop enough insight for fruition!!

i feel like i'm having a near death experience in the vanishings . . . scary at first . . . getting used to it . . . still scary--
That's the good kind of scary
