Chad is the better vocalist live AND in studio. By far. It's obvious after watching this that Scott doesn't have the chops. His voice starts off wobbly and then gives way during the set. I've heard Chad pull off "Fool" and "Crazy" with ease. Do you honestly think Scott could sing "Long Distance," "Miranda" and "Until I Say So"? Hell, he can barely handle his own material. He doesn't have the stamina or endurance to sustain an entire set, and true fans of ALL must concede this point. If Chad's not involved with future ALL releases, I'm out. It's really that simple. The hate he gets from "true fans" is ridiculous. Yes, the band's most iconic, creative and eccentric material was released during Scott's tenure, but he was just a fill-in after Dave left. Chad is better than both of them combined.
By that merit, all singers are fill-ins after Milo left which isn't true. All ALL singers are amazing in their own right. Scott has an amazing voice, he obviously dosent get to rehearse with the whole band that much anyway with living so far away. Chad has been with the band longer and thus has been singing the songs longer and playing to big crowds for years. I think Scott could nail any Chad songs. If I could, I'd love to hear Dave sing some Chad and Scott songs and I'd love to hear Scott sing more Dave/Chad songs. I personally don't like Chad's versions of the Scott or Dave songs because at the end of the day, they all sing their own era of songs best. Dave = Allroy Sez/For Prez, Scott = Saves, Revenge, Percolater, Chad = Breaking Things, Pummel .etc
He's the best ALL singer no doubt. Milo is the best front man for these boys, but it's two totally different vibes with Mi or Chad. I was a Descendents fan before I knew ALL was a thing (20 some years back). While I liked the first 40 ALL singers ;) I didn't dig them until Chad. Milo is the be all end ALL for me ( named my 22 year old "Milo", yes I'm a total nerd).
Chad has a great voice. Scott used to have a great voice but doesn't seem to be holding it down as well these days. Could be an in ear monitor issue tho so I'll have to cut him slack there. As for the rest of the yayhoos they had get up there... Well they might be buddies or considered "Punk rock Royalty" but they would have been better off recruiting audience members like real karaoke. I'm sure they could've equaled the quality and real Descendents fans shouldn't need cheat sheets to remember the lyrics
One of the great things about ALL/Descendents is that each part is equal, the guitar, drums, bass, and singer each are playing equally good, so what we watch here is everyone having a great time, including the audience.
I really like Scott’s singing, Chad may be more of a ‘pro’ but Scott is very heartfelt, the version of ‘She’s My Ex’ here is my favourite of all that I have heard.
They're stiff because these "true punk rockers" just want to bathe in early 80s nostalgia. You can clearly see the energy in the room pick up as soon as old Descendents tunes are played. That's not a coincidence. ALL is just an annoying opening act to these people, something to be endured and tolerated until the "real show" begins. And then out comes the nostalgia! Look at how punk rock I am! I love the Descendents and I know all their songs! Look at me! I'm hardcore!
All of the songs from the Scott era are my favorites, and his singing on those records is unparalleled. Having said that, it makes me want to rip my fucking hair out hearing him butcher those songs live. Is his hearing fucked up, or is he just not trying to hit the notes correctly?
He sang the Descendents songs better than his own. That's how his voice should've sounded the whole time but it's almost as if he couldn't hear himself during his ALL set.
The Scott era songs are some of my favorites too but you're right, this just isn't a very strong performance from him. He was fidgeting with his ear piece quite a bit so maybe that has something to do with it.
He "butchered those songs" because he sucks live. The Scott era is great, but he's not. Some people sound ok in the studio, sure, but the true test of a vocalist is whether or not they can handle live gigs. Clearly, Scott cannot. Chad is the better vocalist of the two. It's not even close. There's another live show with Chad on this channel, and it's just as good as this, if not better. He never wavers, he's consistently strong, and he can belt out Dave/Scott era material effortlessly. He can go from screaming to singing with no problem. It's a no brainer who the band's vocalist should be. If you think Scott's performance is weak here, imagine him trying to sing "Original Me," "Refrain" or "Million Bucks." It would be a disaster. He's not a strong enough vocalist to pull off Chad-era material, meanwhile Chad can handle all three eras with relative ease.
Damn, I must be a sinner for this, but Chad is the best vocalist this band ever had.
Thanks for posting!
I agree; Chad's voice is so powerful!

Normally I'm a vocal/lyric guy, but I could just sit there for a whole set and be entertained watching Bill play the drums or Karl play the bass. .
Mr havok singing bikeage is one of the most beautifull things I have listened.
fucking amazing
42 songs!! This musicianship is unbelievable. Egerton is a beast...they all are..

She's My Ex is one of my favorite songs ever.
Agree & agree
Love how Dennis Lyxzén brings an own unique style to the songs! A true performer!
Scott’s my favorite, killer stuff
Chad looks like he quit music and opened a craft brewery.
Last thing i heard was that he was living in the bush away from civilization.
@@Westcoasttrendkill Being in a band can do that to anyone lol
I still remember when Dave Havok picked me to crowd surf during a Descendents show back in 2014 😢
Everytime I hear the song Thank You always gives me butterflies in my belly. Puts me right in my feels.
Love the camera guy singing along to "Suburban Home"
Utterly fucking great. Seeing Scott doing ALL stuff + pretty immense karaoke guests
Chad é um vocalista incrível!
A discografia do All com ele no vocal é incrível

Best movie ever.
Yoooo... best band ever. Thank you for this...
Is that Josh James of Casey Jones at 1:39:54?!

I love ALL/DESCENDENTS!
1:27 I heard a guy yell “ALRIGHT DAMN IT!” And immediately thought of the vandals
this is so heartwarming! 😊
Gotta give it to Davey Havoc. He brought it like he was playing for 80,000.
Absolutely. And, as far as i can tell, knew the lyrics better than anyone else (aside from Scott & Chad obviously).
you can tell bro listened to MGTC a billion times when he was younger
Thanks !
love this band
Someone in the front has a touching problem, thought Bill was gonna beat his ass at one point.
How do you not know the words to I wanna be a bear?
Damn, Chad killin it!
The first band I saw 25 years ago. Showing my age...lol
O_O AMAZINGGGGG!!!

With the long hair and beard Chad looks like Jim Morrison.
That bassist though wow
I wish they played million bucks in the original key
My guess is that that Stephen and Karl wanna pack light and don’t wanna pack a guitar and bass in E flat
Where was milo?
Mi pregunta es: qué tenia Milo Aukerman mas importante que hacer que estar ahi ?
Science
Chad rules
To bad that milo didn’t come out and do thank you as the last song
that pennywise guy didn't even know the words or the timing or anything smh what a bum
He is
fuckin real shit
Man, I completely forgot about the insufferable selfie guy
Skiba... ugh. That was sad. Almost Sugarcult guitarist sad.

people get old. its about the spirit of the soul.

You clearly don't know what you are talking about.
ALL>Descendents
Ralelen ALL=Descendents imho
Nah
I want to agree with you but that would be blasphemy
No
Jesus Christ. Stalker!
jesus was a stalker!
Milo Milo Milo Milo Milo Milo Milo Milo Milo Milo Milo Milo
Chad!
Like the documentary said, Milo eventually became good over time. Chad was amazing from the get go.
All Is just Prog-Punk
Tell Jim, we all know he got a suburban home
Where the fuck is Milo...
Um did you watch? He is obviously not there, hence the cavalcade of celebrity guest singers covering Descendents songs. Hope this helps.
fucking hell get the time was a mess
Karl really hates Scott here lol
I think they are playful with Scott, a bit of a big brother hazing vibe.
In a podcast that goes through all the SST releases they had on Scott and he said Karl and him didn't get along too well, so that might explain it.
Daamn, didn't know that@@markeggins890
That chick`s voice is great! She should replace Milo on every record from now on!
Is this sarcasm?
stfu simp
Damn this guy butchered "Hope" so much...
