Thank you for your great tutorial on drying oranges. You are the 1st crafter that said to seal the dried oranges with mod podge to preserve them!! It definitely makes a difference.
I'm so glad you told me how to do it in my oven. I had a bunch of oranges given to me but I can't eat them fast enough. I've cut up a bunch to put out back for the birds and woodland creatures. I've wanting to do this but didn't know how. Thanks for helping me.
These bring back wonderful memories of my grandmother's home 🏡 thanks for the tip on essential oils under the tree skirt, going to try that! Tfs and God Bless you 💜🌲🥰
Oh I love so love the vintage, rustic look of these and I can imagine how good the cinnamon smells. I will be making these for sure to hang. Thanks for the tutorial on how to make them and seal them. They will look cute with a rusty jingle bell on them, that is what I have on my tree, rusty jingle bells. What a great idea about cotton pad in citrus oils, never knew cats didn't like citrus. Hugs, Brenda
These are AWESOME!!! Thank you about kitty. What I have done is put aluminum foil on the bottom of the tree. I'm looking forward to using the essential oils. Thank you, much love from MI.
I’m trying to go rustic this year along with my grandkids ornaments they made when they were little. I love these so I’ll give them a try! Thanks for sharing Amber
Amber, you're a GENIUS!! I have a problem every year with my cats messing up my tree skirt and wanting to climb inside my tree! I am definitely going to try your cotton pad trick! And BTW, I absolutely love these cute rustic ornaments. I am a fan of anything cinnamon! This would be fun for the kids to do! ❤️
Love it Amber❣️ Love that's it's such a great rustic decor piece. I will definitely hang it from a garland around my shelf❣️ Thanks for showing me how to make it ❣️ Stay safe 🙏❣️
I always, always check the Badia spices for any spice I need first and I love the small packs of herbs too! The quality and fragrance are amazing! Never been disappointed. They work especially well in my simmer pot. I'm glad I found them too ☺
Thanks for the info about keeping the cats out of your tree ... I have 2 cats that I haven't had a tree up since I have them & now I won't be leery of putting up a tree!! Also ~ I have oranges in the fridge that are a bit on the older side & now I know what to do with them (just need to get the cinnamon sticks)!! Thanks for the inspiration Amber!!!
This is a great idea! Love this and love the scent it gives. I tried last year the trick with the oranges in and around my tree. And my cat didn't care. I think she maybe even played with the orange slices. Maybe my cat is just craxy pants. She was just a year old at the time so that might have something to do with it. We'll see what happens this year 😆❤ take care
Love the ornaments where did you get the bag of cinnamon sticks and essentials oils ?? I've been looking for them but can't fine any that smells like cinnamon . Thats for sharing, love watching your videos.
A few coats of clear spray paint or mod podge. You can draw the cranberries in the oven just like the oranges. Then use a needle to thread them onto the twine
I had my daughter’s cat and she never bothered the tree. Our dog, Prissy, was still with us and she trained Cleo to be a good cat. She never hurt her. They were about the same size.
Have you ever tried this same thing with apple slices? I bet the oranges and apple slices would look gorgeous together....that is if you can dry apples and paint them with modpodge as well. It would look really nasty if it molded.
Thank you for letting us know about cotton pads and citrus oil under Christmas tree skirt. My kitten is a wild child likes to climb on everything. I was thinking about not putting my tree up this year because I didn't want him climbing in my tree. The cat named Boots that past away in 2008 never tried to climb in it only laid under it which I didn't mind him doing that.
I here the smell is so "DELIGHTFUL"!!! Will hair spray help to sill the oranges? Can you dehydrated cherries for a red button on the orange. Thanks for the tips on keeping cats out of the Christmas tree. How long does it take to be notified if you have been accepted to your FACEBOOK page? I just requested.
I had a cat walk over to my tree rear up on his back legs and pick an ornament and bat them around so I stopped buying glass balls and switched to silver plastic bells instead.
The first year we had our cat he totally demolished the Christmas tree. He demolished it so bad that I was not able to use it again the next year. Because of this I didn't really put up a Christmas tree anymore. Two years ago I decided that I wanted a tree and I put it up and he didn't bother it at all. He's like laying under it but when I put it up the very first time when we got him he was all up in the tree and knocking the tree over and. Cats!
hahaha she says "you don't want anything shiny" and then immediately says "add a jingle bell" which is shiny af hahahah well which is it?? this is cool!
Thank you for your great tutorial on drying oranges. You are the 1st crafter that said to seal the dried oranges with mod podge to preserve them!!
It definitely makes a difference.
I don't know which is more beautiful. Your amazing hands and nails or the orange ornaments.
I have also done this same thing with apples, lemons and limes! So fragrant!
Love these, like to put clove in oranges love smell, tfs, love from Tn ❤🤟🍂🍁🦉🌻
Great idea. Reminds me of simpler times.
So simple but so pretty 😍 I love these!!!

Love these. My grandma used to do these for her tree. Thank you for showing us how to make. Have a wonderful day.
I don't see a glare at all. Love this!
These bring back wonderful memories of my grandmother's home 🏡 thanks for the tip on essential oils under the tree skirt, going to try that! Tfs and God Bless you 💜🌲🥰
This is hilarious I just oven dried my oranges today!! Talk about timing!!
Love this. Try dry painting the contact paper to dull it. Maybe it will help with the glare.

Absolutely adorable!’n
Those are great. My cats have never bothered my trees but as soon as I wrap a gift and put it under the tree those little suckers will unwrap them.
Very pretty thank you so much for sharing
These are adorable! Tyfs 😁❤️
Very cute idea🎄🎅
Love this! TFS

Hey girl love your vids keep up the good work
I made these several years ago, need to make some new ones.

Love love these! How do you seal the oranges? And if you dry the cranberries how do you string them in?
A few coats of clear spray paint or mod podge. You can draw the cranberries in the oven just like the oranges. Then use a needle to thread them onto the twine
Can we do the same thing with apples? :')
I've been very lucky. My kitties only like to sleep I under my trees. I did have problems with the live trees.
Hi from Maine

use tape on the end of the twine

It’s even more fun when the cat decides to crawl up the tree.

So cute girl! Where did you say you got the cinnamon sticks?
My grocery store carries this brand. Walmart carries it too
Excellent bargain and they smell heavenly! The Anise with the cinnamon stick a few whole cloves in my simmer pot make the house smell so good!
Thank you!
I’ve never had a cat take an interest in a Christmas Tree. Now dogs are a different story, they bother the ornaments! 😂
Thanks for the tip to keep the cats out of the tree.
hahaha she says "you don't want anything shiny" and then immediately says "add a jingle bell" which is shiny af hahahah well which is it?? this is cool!
I have several packages of rustic jingle bells that are not shiny. They are coated with a rough brown paint.
