I've seen several interviews with this Palestinian activist before without realizing who she was. "Mornings in Jenin"!!!! I've read this book long time ago but didn't remember the author's name. One of the best written and saddest stories I've ever read, was crying the whole time throughout.

The representative from Japan made the very clear presentation that Palestinians are not only "allowed" but are "required" to resist their wongful occupation under the International Rules and Laws. The fact that Israel held 5,000 Palestinian Hostages on October 6th required Palestinians to do something to free their people. The world failed them, and they had no alternatives.

I loved it when she said “October 7 prison break” because that’s actually accurate. Gaza was a fenced, occupied area (before Israel decided to annihilate it and its inhabitants).

In the early 90's a friend from Gaza said Palestinians didn't care all that much for Arafat, that he was corrupt. But he will always be an icon. A revolutionary hero, the man with an olive branch in one hand and a gun in the other. He pleaded at the UN "don't let the olive branch fall from my hand"

Why is it that you have a more accurate account of how many of the civilian population in GAZA has been murdered, 40,000 but all of the Indian sites are stuck on a number in the past, 34,000 civilians? I made a comment about it and I noticed that number has now moved to 35,000.
What is wrong with them reporting the facts as they are?
Not only are they reporting the above, but these sites:
1) Times of India
2) One India
3) Hindus Times
are still reporting that 1,200 Israelis were killed and 250 hostages were taken by HAMAS' attack Oct 7.
1) 1,200 were not killed by HAMAS.
2) It was 1,125,
3) And most of them were killed by Hannibal Directive (An Israelis military branch)
These news sites are spreading misinformation. I AM sure without a shread of doubt these three media outlets have equal access to fact checking sources just as you do.
They began to censor and delete every comment I made in the comment section. Don't bother me none. I choose not to watch their sites. I would much rather watch sites who prove worthy by presenting the facts as they are.
They get their news on Telegram.Maybe they don't have the correct total or keep it that way but at least they show what the Resistance are getting right that are not shown on other independent channels

Great points! I grew up in a former British colony (Cyprus) and my family was actually threatened BY the guerilla forces for not supporting the violence of the guerilla army. Now everyone remembers them as heroes, but they were violent.

As someone whos been crippled from PTSD for mostbof my life ive been seeing this on the faces of the kids and adults in Gaza. The incalculable trauma of a whole society after this genocide ends will be something that will last for generations. Its hard to know what to do to support Gazans afterwards that can even adequatly amount to comming close to reperations and mental care let alont the physical disabilities.

I couldn't agree more with this segment. The way in which the Palestinian struggle and resistance is portrayed is in itself dehumanising. They are praised for their steadfastness, but in doing so, their their suffering, their aspirations, their personhood are all erased. They're not seen like human beings with dreams, with feelings, with agency; instead, they're just a population that resists, they don't live, they survive.

I've noticed that a lot of the so called left is anti-genocide but not necessarily pro-Palestinian as far as recognizing the rights of self determination and resistance. It's like some of the early abolitionists who thought slavery was bad but equal rights and integration was unthinkable do they responded like colonizers and created another colony in Africa, Liberia. That colonial mindset is still so prevalent.

There is perhaps one analogy fron modern times, the ethnic cleansing on the Eastern Front and the siege of Leningrad. While niether of those is a one-to-one analogy, they share a lot of similarities.
