  • Nutrition is critical during a race, and energy gels are one of the best nutrition sources. The challenge is how to best carry the gels! There are several good ways, but one VERY BAD way to carry your energy gels. I explore a few of these methods in this 5-minute warmup.

    Glad to hear I am not the only one who has obsessed over how to carry my gels. Good info on possible options. Wantedto throw another option out. I used and was very pleased with a triathlon race belt. It has a built in bib holder and many of them have 6 elastic loops for gels. No bounce, no heat retention, comfortable and no safety pin holes in your running shirt. Probably a hundred options on amazon. Game changer

      Ah, this is another SOLID IDEA! In fact, this is probably better than an elastic pouch where you have to zip it open and close. Probably lighter too.
