Great footage! I used to ride the 6X daily from work and school it hauls ass on that stretch when nothing goes wrong. Another fast stretch is the 4 trainto and from Borough Hall to Bowling Green via the underwater tunnel.
I miss the r142a on the 6 line😢

Very nice video. I love how express trains go fast. But the only way that didn't came out so good was when the 6 express started to go slow when it almost reach Parkchester - East 177th Street.

I had thought about it, but those trains get too crowded for me to even bother doing it. Maybe in the near future I will.

I just wanna make a comparison from back then to now Yes good memories I miss the r142a 6 train where omny didn't exist at that time (obviously) plus kiosk didn't exist and there were no screen advertising like oh when you're riding a subway or bus use a omny that didn't exist at that time on the NYC subway just the ads and there isnt no Dianne voice I believe on the Lexington Ave line at that time and there ain't no homeless people on the 6 train maybe a few at that time was in the pelham line I'm not sure there probably more that didn't exist at the time but I can't remember them

r142's were made in 1999, and r142a's were made a year after r142's

i know the station names by heart first is hunts point avenue then whitlock avenue then elder avenue then morrison sound view avenue (where i get off) then st. lawrence then parkchester avenue avenue btw it takes so long just to enter the station and right after parckchester is catsle hill avenue u should go there
