SIR, Let me tell you something about his family tree, also. That you do not know. Ashok Kumar's father and my grandfather father were two brothers. In that sense my grandfather and Ashok Kumar were cousins, ChaCha ka ladka. They used to live in Bhagalpur, from there my grandfather's dad shifted to Bengal and they shifted to Khandwa, there Kishore Kumar was born.
When Ashok Kumar and my grandfather parted, they were teenagers, and were inseparable brothers. Till last day of my grandfather's life he missed Ashok Kumar, but never ever went to meet him. They once met in Mumbai but that was the last time they met.
I have seen him watch Ashok Kumar's film on television and then used to walk down memory lane and told beautiful facts about there friendship which was more than cousins. Even Ashok Kumar's father was as if the xerox copy of my grandfather's look.
