I think the first time you get on lean, you'll find everything on that Lazy Susan will be all over the cabinet. Maybe a round soft sided basket might solve the problem.
Maybe put the soft sided basket on the lazy Susan win win :)
I love watching you guys. I like how Sophie explains things, and Ryan’s boat and tech knowledge. Sophie can be funny at times.
This channel is one of my favorites. Can’t wait to see that boat sail away again. Keep the videos coming !
I legitimately laughed out loud at the flashback to the sewage in the bilge incident lol
Very organized and she looks great. Will be launching Wave Rover 2 by the end of July. Let's meet in Nova Scotia as I head South on my passage down the Eastern Seaboard.
Hey Sophie, Ryan and cutie Barnicle great episode. I have a suggestion for the cabinet of Death, because I had one too. I got two pairs of draw slides, cut out the shelves then attached them to the slides etc, with a little bit of sanding, swearing and screwing I'm now a very happy boatie.🤣😂😃 Polar Seal looks fantastic, ready for sale even, I meant Sail. Ryan epic job with the electrics mate great job. Thanks hugs for Barnie 🐕🌈 gotta say the audio and picture quality is excellent.
It was quite a fun video for me to watch you cleaning and sorting your boat! It looks fantastic! I thinks it’s you’re lively personality and beautiful accent!
So good to see the updated Polar Seal. She looks great - and so do you Sophie! ❤ Can't wait to see what adventures the '23 cruising season will bring!
Can’t wait to watch your your new adventures. I have really missed your videos. ❤
The wet/dry battery vac is awesome! I didn't know that thing existed and now I'm super interested. Thanks for the tip! And nice edit on the toilet story, Sophie, which had me laughing.
Boat looks ready to go, all the update will make cruising easier.
Fantastic guys. Polar Seal looks brand new but better. Can't wait to see the triumphant NYC arrival.
Sophie could probably explain paint drying on a wall and we'd all be watching the same way... Netflix and Amazon Prime have missed out on a stellar talent.
I think there was water in the utensil holder because you may have a water leak in that cabinet. As evidenced by the dark stains on the bottom of the cabinet
Fabulous, love the new Jabsco quiet flush, she looks so organized down below!
It must feel great to get all those dark, neglected areas clean again! I'm sorry I missed recent vids... I sail out of the marina adjacent to you and I'd have stopped by for quick vizz. Your home is looking terrific, enjoy! Nothing to be ashamed of shopping at Tarjay ; )
Great job guys!
Thank you for the prep video.
Good job guys. Good to go back on sea! Have a great time and thanks for the video.
I am just here for the pup.
Honestly at this point… me too 😆😆😆
You guys got Polar Seal looking good and hopefully ready for new adventures.
Very, very happy your back.
Looks great
Oh, it looks great
Boat looks so great! Looks so grown up now lol
Thank you so much for this video 👍😀
Ready to sail! Safe travels ❤️
Have you looked for a pull out system for the cupboard of death? You would probably be able to get more things in as it will also help with organisation
I remember when Johnny created that for you guys. He loved his Sophie😊 Johnny would light up anytime we ran into you. We still have one of your recipes on our wall at home.
We love you all and Polar Seal looks amazing as always!! For those who have never met dear Sophie she is even more radiant in person… just purely delightful … and yes Ryan too ofcourse 😊😊😊😊
That looked liked a whole lot of work , but looks great now !
Hi Ryan & Sophie! It was great meeting you guys in Ikea!
I love your personality!
May I kindly suggest stainless D2 All-Clad pots and pans? Buy once, cry once. We ❤ our and they’ll last for several generations, plus no Teflon. Cheers!!
just ordered 2 lamps for the galley. Thanks for the recommendation. I used your link too ;)
Here for the marine interior cleanup and design ❤ I’m not sure why knives on a strong magnet would be considered unsafe on a boat? I had no intention of chucking out my IKEA magnet bar when I make my liveaboard move but I am glad to learn that those magnet are strong enough to hold through the plastic sheaths. All those pretty colors on that bar look so satisfying 😌
It’s amazing 🤩
Your decorations es beautiful thank for sharing.
Regards
welcome home!
Hi Sophie! I hope all is well with U & Ryan. We miss seeing you! Health & happiness 2 U! Be well ❤️
Loved the idea for the dust buster so much we just got one for our boat!! Picks up all of the dog hair without having to dredge out the shop vac!!
Great video! Love you guys .. PLEASE give up those pans, forever chemicals and if they scratch or chip it really bad, throw them out and use stainless or cast iron.
Just got Tefal Ingenio for my boat in Norway! 👍
Following seas and bravely forward..with occasional rest in place. As sail on today's wind. For yesterday's wind will no longer take you forward, tomorrow's wind may stay out, so sail on today's wind.. ;-)
A full extension drawer slides would bring the "locker of death" back to live. It would reduce the total amount of stuff you could stuff in there but everything in there would get used far more.
Hi guys great work! Can Ryan have a video of how he installed the two parallel AC systems, frequency and voltage?
You’re videos are funny. The humour is great. You should do a yachting combo video with David Shih. He’s funnier than a dwarf fight.
The BEAUTIFUL Sophie is BACK!!!!!
Thanks for the Marine Shocker. That will be very useful. I enjoyed the cupboard rumble, that was strangely therapeutic. Please do a course to help me get my VHF license.
The pot handle you showed can be purchased at almost any sporting/camping goods store, it will be similar in the way it works but will most likely be silver and made of aluminum. About $10.
Polar Seal looks fantastic!! We have the double magnet knife setup that we installed and they have NEVER moved. I had two questions, 1. What wireless microphones are you using? Audio is fantastic 2. Can you share the info on Barnacles carry one crate? Our little Archie I think would like what you use much better.
To keep your boat affordable, water access and a place to haul it home is ideal. The problem is where do you find land and home that is both near the water and affordable? How do you dodge the Martha's Vineyard price tags?
Hi I can’t seem to find the link to the training videos
How did you deal with the 50/60 Hz frequency difference? 240/50Hz inverter, or just let the appliances deal with 60 Hz through a step-up transformer?
That bimini is tall enough for you to stand up in. Did you ever think of a solar bimini?
💯
What are you taking lessons from Sailing UMA for the B roll ? Good on ya !
What about garage?
Hi guys. Yes Comfort Onboard is Critically important, as it is a huge assist for The Safety of the Boat and Everyone on it. I've not seen them personally, but Tim of Lady K Sailing Channel Swears by Walmart Menory Foam top Mattresses as very comfortable and No problem to cut to shape to suit the bed. Usual Caveat with Boat mattresses, a Waterproof Cover for the mattresses is vital, to prevent Seawater getting into them, as they are a pita to flush the salt out to be able to get them to dry properly after. But, I haven't been able as yet, to find a soft and comfy waterproof mattress Cover which really sucksMayne there's an over bed solution that won't be a nightmare to try to sleep under in hot places ? I suppose a when underway option would be just to put a lightweight waterproof Tarp over the Bedding, and somehow make sure to remember to put them in place, on a To Do list before setting off ? That would be the cheapest option and at the bottom of that list, close all hatches and portholes. Best Wishes and Fair Winds. Bob in Wales still. 👍⛵️✨️✨️✨️
Very useful things that can assist Cooking, and can keep food Hot or Cold, are Vacuum Food Flasks. Unfortunately as yet I haven't come across any that can keep food hot for over 12 hours. The ones that are Stainless steel inside are fine on a Boat, and 12 hours is fine for having food that is still hot through a night watch. They work well with things like Porridge for breakfast, and Walmart powdered nick is as good as the best in the World, if you aren't Scottish and like milky Porridge, just add Sugar or honey to taste, pour boiling water on top of the contents in a pre warmed Food Flask and shake, same with dehydrated Pasta in Sauce, chop up Chorizo Sausage to add and shake. Coffee on a boat ? Beats me why people even consider using Coffee machines tbh. Get a single Skin Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Cafetiere (not the twin wall they wear out fast ) and get a few extra Plunger filters as spares as they do wear out, and just buy the ground Coffee you like - the bags that are resealable keep the ground Coffee good for up to a few months once opened, and it saves buying a Coffee bean grinder. They are pretty much zero maintenance and no glass to break. A large Cafetieres single wall cost me under £22 from Amazon in the UK. Bob. 👍⛵️✨️✨️✨️
Dumpster for the dog ? come on !
Hmm…I suppose ya can call this “Spring Housecleaning”😜…Continue to Stay Safe and Enjoy😎
I have to ask. The devil is making me do it. How long do you expect your oils and vinegars to stay upright once you start sailing? I also get quite a giggle out of your closed captions. I hope you have a fabulous year sailing and I am looking forward to your videos.
I hope that you intend to sail down wind all the time because as soon as you hit the first big wave to windward, there is going to be a hell of a lot of gear on the floor- most of it on top of Barnacle !!!!!!!!!!!!!
C'est un plateau tournant Sophie, tout simplement...
Merci 😉
👍🎣⛵💯
Sophie, I kind of wondered if eventually you would crawl into that cabinet entirely, leaving the camera stare at a blank entry, and then Ryan comes along eventually, says he is looking for something, also crawls in, comes out 5 minutes later with what he was looking for and wondering where you may be.
Hello... it is me again!! :)
Good afternoon! :) Oh wait. it's 7:30 here... hahaha :D
@@RyanSophieSailing Are we in the same timezone? 19:40 here too
Try saladmaster Teflon is a forever chemical in your body
Target? Really?? - Pleeeease it's TAR-JAY!🤣
Ryan and sophie back on a boat , yeah . Much longer and it will be Ryan and Sophie in a house. Only joking love your content and humour
😃☝👏👏👏
Only France...you mean all over the Europe (at least) with those Tefal pots and pans since mhhhh 30+ years. You are becoming a bit 'murican and I'm not sure if it's step down or up from being French...take it with pinch of Scandinavian salt;)
Polar Seal is looking Great 👍 Someone mentioned you are heading to NYC ? Beware, under no Circumstances whatsoever, must you Sail Around New York Harbour at Night. Making that intake Cost me my last Boat, thanks to the Wrecking Gang Wirking the Harbout, which lost me almost everything I had in the World, and which has left me without a Boat to this Day. If I ever make it back there, I'll have at least two Sub Machine guns on Board, and will be looking for Payback. They have killed so many people, and wrecked so many boats, Retribution needs to be heading their way. A Still Angry Bob. 👍⛵️✨️✨️✨️
PS. I've been Boatless since, but on a positive note, I should be able to put an order in for a New Sailboat later this year, so things look up. Bob. 👍
Probably not a guy-focused video; maybe the next one....
Actually if guys payed a little more attention to the details covered in this video, it would make sailing with a partner or finding a sailing partner a bit smoother ;)
I don't see how a lazy susan makers sense on a sailboat. As soon as the boat moves everything will fall over.
Well. When you live onboard, your goal is mostly to get the boat in a place where it does not move all the time. It’s a couple of months and a few hundred miles of ocean sailing, and it’s been really good! :)
