Our Florida Garden thank you we love Agapanthus and they like our sunny Norfolk gardens. I will have to check out Queen of the Nile I’m not sure if we have that one . Weve just been to garden centre and bought a new variety which is very dark blackish purple that we saw on our recent trip to East Ruston Old Vicarage gardens
The pot should not be too big as Agapanthis flower best when they are over crowded although some of ours are in quite big pots as we want the plants to grow.
In Summer in the Western Cape, South Africa they grow everywhere. They’re much larger than what you have in England, thick stems and enormous, round balls. They like to be overcrowded or pot bound, require little water and we never feed.
I love agapanthus. However I cannot grow them as I live in the N US. What is your coldest temp in the winter? I did not realize that there are so many varieties. Beautiful.
i think a good watering once a week would probably be sufficient for an established plant. If you have split your Agapanthus water more often until they are established. They are a hot dry climate plant originally from South Africa, so should tolerate hot dry weather well. They do very well in Norfolk and we rarely water them except when in pots.
You have many beautiful agapanthus plants, but I think the title of this video is misleading since you don't say much about how to actually grow these plants, besides mentioning that they like good light.
You just showed different varieties you have....not a detailed 'how to grow' that was in title. I love the ones in front of the brick. Now to look for a video to tell me how to grow them.🤔
Thank you for the feedback its much appreciated. We will make a follow up video with more details on how to grow Agapanthus. Did you have any particular questions that you would like answered in the video?
Scusa ma spiegare e capirti se non vai più piano sarà difficile capirti gia' La lingua e difficile .per l' se vai piano una può leggere bene.io amo tantissimo l'agapantus perciò,' mi piacerebbe capire bene Ciao.
I have nine agapanthus growing in pots and look forward to them blooming every summer.

They do really well in pots, this may give you an option to shelter in a greenhouse of garage over winter?
Beautiful!!
Thank you! 😊
I live in very hot zone 8a dry desert heat. Do I water everyday or every other day?
