Welcome to the official Laver Cup UA-cam channel. Laver Cup Vancouver 2023 runs from September 22-24 at Rogers Arena. The tournament takes place for the sixth time and features some of the best players in the world. Björn Borg captains Team Europe, consisting of Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, Hubert Hurkacz, Gael Monfils, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Arthur Fils. John McEnroe captains Team World, consisting of Felix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Francisco Cerundolo and Ben Shelton. Team Europe’s vice captain is Thomas Enqvist and Team World’s vice captain is Patrick McEnroe. Team World are the reigning champions after winning at London 2022.

A solid match from Ruud, using all his experience. It'll be interesting to see how 2024 pans out for him, given the problems he had in 2023 and the fact he's fallen down to #9 in the rankings.

I wonder about the future of the Laver cup. It was basically a vehicle for Federer, Nadal and sometimes Djokovic. It's noticeable who is absent this year. No Djokovic, Alcraz, Zverev, Medvedev, Rune, Tsitsipas or Sinner. Team Europe has #25 Davidovich Fokkina, #43 Fils and #141 Monfils who is virtually retired. It does look somewhat second rate.
The court is dogshit, and players need points. This cup provides neither of them.
Team Europe also had #9 Rudd and #6 Rublev.

I am British & an avid Tennis Fan! However, I can't help being BOTHERED by Tim Henman's "punditry"! Most of his commentary is *SO passive-aggressively NEGATIVE,* regarding what Tim "THINKS" are the Players' faults/errors/bad decisions etc! Tim, you've been doing this for YEARS now (especially with Any Murray's matches). Please TRY your VERY BEST to be OBJECTIVE! It's what you're being Paid For! SO Sorry to say! xxx
This is difficult to watch, balls (or court) si sooo slow. Guys hitting the ball like crazy, ball is going nowhere. Like they play on te moon. And competition is so so poor. Sad.
this year's laver cup is a joke, a bunch of random noobs and an old clown for team europe, because the good ones in europe doesn't take this event serious at all. ruud is the only one who doesn't fit, and he only played one match till now xD what a jooooke this is :D thats team random vs team america bros. i think roger is thinking the same :S it turned into a circus instead of serious tennis
