I don't believe that many people understands my approach regarding my ways of playing Minecraft.
I don't care about HBM Nuclear, I don't care about killing the parasites like regular zombies. I'm here to experience everything.
Sometimes when I see a big parasite I'm making the dumbest decisions, but it's on purpose. I want to see what they got, I want to have an epic fight, I'm here for the tension, the fun and the drama.
I know this world is probably fucked and the base won't stand for long but so what? If I start overpowering myself because I don't want to lose and destroy the parasites with one hit it becomes boring as fuck. I'm not here to play regular Minecraft and kill parasites like normal mobs, I'm here to play Scape and Run: Parasites and experience they want us to experience.
Even if Shift and I got completely destroyed in Pt.6, you have no idea how much we had fun in the end, we kept talking about it. It's a video game.
I respect that. But I will say even with nukes it won’t do much to save you. Also I recommend using a biome purifier. It not only cleans the are but also allows you to see beckons and dispatchers in the 30 block radius (If my memories serves me correctly) though given what phase you’re on you may not like the results

the two holes are the same hole I only saw one hole on ep 4 when the bolster was adapted and dug out

But i only suggested HBM because of the numerous sci-fi structures that they add and not because of the nukes. They give a more futuristic feel as compared to other structure mods like recurrent complex. You would anyways never be able to reach nukes in 1.12.2 version of hbm since the code is an outdated one that is being used.

In order to decrease points you must place the lures like this shown in the dots below, using one lure will only stop parasites from gaining points in the time being. it's hard to explain but i hope you understand.

But also you have to watch out that this can also summon scents which are new mechanics of the mod which is usually will summon lots of parasites it depends on the tier.
yeah the scent system is kinda broken at the moment as the dam scent will sometimes cause the worms to spawn indefinitely which depending on the scent value you might get zerg rushed by rupters or primitives and heeds
I disabled the Scent for now because the feature is not on point. We still have to polish it a little bit.

its a 7x7 and its called a carcass on the wiki. also the single lure cooldowns dont stack, and actually pause points for like 10 times less than what is actually in the item descriptions (u can test this urself by placing the highest tier lure and seeing if the times add up in creative with the command, they dont)
the highest tier lure says it pauses it for like 2 days straight or something, the command shows it pauses it for maybe like 4 to 6 hrs i believe ... theyre wildly inaccurate
my only speculation is that they meant ticks and put down seconds instead on the descriptions, because theres about 20 ticks in a second on average

Btw, the 1st thing I thought when I saw your design for the obsidian reinforcements on the walls is "what if he lights up every frame in order to make a wall of Nether portals ?". Probably too OP to make parasites vanish into the Nether but hey, intrusive thoughts

Using lures specifically to make nearby parasites angrier is a specialty of mine

I think the main thing that makes the parasites feel somewhat 'unfair' is their damage.
Their health you can always kind of get around, but getting an armor that makes it so you don't get oneshot by the later ones is very tough, and that's why they're so hard to fight, because they all hit hard and they're always in swarms.
This is especially noticeable with the viral ones, where even just a single viral rupter can get you down to two hearts faster than you can eat a golden apple.
Though one thing i like abt that this mod is that it's very configurable, so if one doesn't like a certain value, they can change it in the config to suit their playstyle, much like many other things like point gain and such

I only recently started watching you, and i wanted to ask : Are your videos purposefully not cut a lot?
By that i mean, do you intentionally leave the more " boring " parts (such as full building scenes instead of a montage or same for mining) in to add to the ambience? It's not that i mind, just curious lol

bro i swear Crayfish Gunmod is literally the worst one out there, especially for 1.12.2. The guns are largely underpowered compared to what the Parasites bring. You should use HBM nuclear tech reloaded. HBM nuclear tech for the awesome structures that spawn around the world. It also has this material called Advanced Alloy which is basically diamond and can be found in heaps in one of the structures which are quite rare to spawn. Tools made out of advanced alloy will have same properties as Diamond, except they can vein mine too. Armor made of advanced alloy will fully neglect the damage done by a single zombie or a single skeleton.
And for help with the engineering mods, you should add WAILA and WAWLA. Pretty handy mods for help.
i agree with the comment, but Techguns and HBM would add a lot of duplicate things - including 2 whole different radiation mechanics (HBM radiation is awful)
also youtubers ive noticed are notorious for never using TechGuns despite it being like one of the best parasite-esque gun mods and always being recommended, i think i mightve seen it used by like 1 small youtuber in their series
But the problem is it takes a lot of resources in order to make those guns which is very hard including to those who do not know the crafting recipes yet on those mods
@@moffichu9150 tech guns radiation is a work in progress at the moment and is disabled by default in the config.
HBM radiation, yeah. It's trash. But atleast it compensates by providing a lot of cool new stuff. In addition, you could enable baby mode in the config to make the crafting and all easier. Besides, i like to use hbm mainly for its structures. Your usual structure mods add those same old medieval structures like castles, dungeons and such. However, HBM adds modern sci-fi structures, one of the only mods yet that do this. And the config can even be changed to make them spawn more.
For youtubers, yes up until now only a couple of them have used Techguns. Troubled boys used it in just one of their videos. Seven did a run of Parasitius mod which had techguns. Sbeev did a 100 player vs Parasites using techguns. Even RotchGames is using the mod as you could see in this video, but for some reason he's using guns from crayfish.
@@ChristonFinwood for crafting recipes, JEI (just enough items) becomes a staple.
You could turn up the structure spawn rate in Hbm mod and simply loot the structure and obtain raw materials (sometimes, even complete weapons and their ammo) from there.

Id recommend that yall play with the srp cotesia mod, it allows u to be basically one of the parasites, so u can observe the evolution happen while also being able to raid a village with an army of parasites following u. Fun as hell and again, it allows u to see how the parasites evolve which is helpful for then u go back to fighting them again. U can also disable the thing that makes u give coth to everything around u in the config and make the item that turns u into a parasite a secret crafting recipe and then troll shift.

nice is called scpae and run for a reason you cant win even when you get the most op armor of the mod you only can stall and and survive long enough to retreat
Even whit some of the most op mods sucha as vampire and more echande appels you can only fight a few of the high tiers before dying and gaps become ussles after a while since some mobs can steal them guns only kill lowtiers and mid tiers and even whit the extra strong guns ya 1 on 1 is a suicide to try
