Compass is kind of easy, I think you should use maps with a marker at your location (kind of like a radar) so the hunters would know you're near them but wouldn't know exactly where you are. You can do such that they will always have the map or make it such that you can get map by trading with wandering trader or cartographer villager for 5 emeralds to make it more difficult
Has anyone noticed that when Dev, or Booster, or even Kier play the same? Crafting and other things. It is really similar. When the others are hunters, its like they are slowing down when they are a hunter to give the runner a chance. But when they are the runner, they move a lot faster.
