- Dust storms (or haboobs) can originate from thunderstorm downbursts reaching the ground and blowing dry, loose dust up from the desert. Haboobs are a common occurrence in the west during monsoon season and can produce sudden strong winds and drops in visibility, so here are some safety tips for driving: www.weather.go...

I love the smell of the sagebrush in those storms
That was a great video, as usual, that dust cloud looked cool too, along with the rain shaft at around 0:55
Wow this footage and time-lapse you shared of this Dust storm in Nevada was incredible Kevin. Thanks so much for sharing my friend. As always interesting to watch.😯🌪☁️☁️🌪💦💦✨👌
I don't want to keep saying that the video and audio are both beautiful and sound like a broken record, but I still think it's true. I sincerely hope you keep making these videos, as they're incredible!
Beautiful as usual 🤩 Loved the spider 😄 Perfect music 👍
Captivating cloud motion. LIKE 9
wow!😃
Woah. This looks so cool! Where is this and how do dust storms form?
Star peak, Nevada. Rain and cool air hit the ground and spread out, kicking up desert dust.
@@1.4142 Oh. Do microbursts usually cause these storms
@@itzrenzo8960 They can. A microburst is just a small, localized downburst less than 2.5 miles in diameter. If there is dust and sand on the ground with little vegetation like the American southwest, winds will easily create dust storms.
Wait you live in Nevada? Also this a really nice dust storm, you should’ve been there for the Phoenix and Tucson ones last week!!
This footage actually comes from www.alertwildfire.org/
I live in the sf bay area, where crazy weather like this is rare.
@@1.4142 oh!! Yes it is very beautiful there I heard and you guys stay dry most of the time. Were you living there during 2016 during the El Niño when Cali got a bunch of rain?
@@wholelottaweather24 Unfortunately, I was not here for that, but I was here for the 2020 august lightning siege and wildfires.
@@1.4142 yeah I saw those videos last year
