The top of my watch fell off after surviving an accident. There are a lot of scratches. The alarm and timer sound is no longer reliable. Sometimes it just doesn't ring. But it still tells time. Which is incredible even after being 6 years old.
Honestly, for many of us who don’t care to see the g-shock logo or some specific function this is a very nice watch that is much more legible than many g-shocks.
This watch is currently $15 for cyber monday sales at target and amazon and debating whether to add it to the bunch. Quite an impressive Analog-Digital budget watch. Great video, you're def one of the best casio reviewers on youtube!
good to know it was at $15 so I won't buy it for $27.50 at amazon. I can wait til this years 'cyber monday' in a few months. if they want to pull 'inflation' and charge nearly 100% more then I ain't a buyer.
If you hold both buttons on the right when setting the analog ...it will advance automatically...without the need to hold the buttons. I have the blackout version of this. A 3/10 was a bit rough.
Thanx lord I’m new to Casio watches and this watch is very difficult for a newbie. Paid $7 at wallmart had a yellow tag I got a whole bunch for $5 couldn’t pass on it. My favorite I bought was Casio Super Illuminator with a nice light button I paid $5 I couldn’t believe the price so I bought about 4-5 watches thanks for the tips
Also this watch went scuba diving with me in Puerto Vallarta no problem.
It's a great watch for $30 honestly it's a 10 out of 10 in the $30 price range and even the Casio Mudmaster doesn't have a 30 record databank whose battery lasts 10 years!
Have mine for 5 years now. It's just a great beater watch that does it's job. The only drawback for me was the lack of backlight. Other than that it is what it is, a quality Casio watch.

light is a must for me. too bad, since i like the style. i hope casio releases another version with light.

I got this model as a birthday gift from my wife. Really similar model by thickness with G-Shock GA 100 which I have already.

I bought the AEQ-110W-1B version, which is blacked out. I disagree with the 3/10 assessment. I'm drawn to the beautiful modern design and tactical look/feel. It didn't cost as much as a G-Shock, it's also lighter. I bought a HDC-700-3A3VCF a month ago and like the quick glance easy read analog time. These two are much alike. I can live without the backlight feature on this model.
Hi I was wondering what’s the difference between Ae 110/120 and this hdc 700. They are both similar in price here what would you suggest? I know the hdc 700 has a light so that’s a plus?

Need to watch UA-cam when i set the time every summer… looks like an expensive GShock when the lettering is gone. Cheap and long lasting. Great watches for outdoor and water sports.
Love my watch and I don’t know if the battery will do the 10 years, but it’s been 9 years and still going
At $51.00 I'm not complaining,built like a tank,very accurate timekeeping and gives me an alarm for lunch...lol
On eBay it sells under $30 from US sellers.
I used for much years and is a stronger clock and cheaper. For the price hasn't much functions, but is a good clock
It's not a bad watch but the vibrating watch gives you much more beautiful light nice features

Super fun watch
For me this Casio alarm ring length is a very serious drawback if I needed to actually use it to wake me in the morning. On a regular cheaper Casio (mine is a168) it lasts 20 seconds. But it literally may not be sufficient to wake me up. But this one ONLY 10?! At least it seems to say 3 alarms so you can set them in a sequence. All it needs is a snooze function. I am guessing they don’t want the users to make their watches ring too long because that could destroy the battery.
It has snooze function! 7 Repeats every 5 minutes.
I covered the pros here are 5 things I wish it had.
1. Backlight. Not having one is a bummer.
2. The 3 alarms are all daily alarms including the 1 snooze alarm but 7 snoozes every 5 minutes is pretty good. Gets me up in the morning but no weekly or monthly alarm.
3. No automatic analog setting from digital
4. The glass could be a more scratch resistant maybe a mineral or sapphire glass.
5. A function to move analog hands out of the way when covering digital screen.
Except for the alarms having weekly and monthly setting you WILL not find any of the other functions in a $30 watch.
No high end watch costing 10x the price still won't have the databank feature so still 10 out of 10 for a $30 watch.

Nope, not my cup of tea - that partial dial and those tiny lcd cut-outs. I like the twincept idea - when there's an analog dial underneath the LCD which can be turned on and off. Also, the crown is so much better for the analog adjustment than what I see here. P. S. How come there are no G-shock watches in this channel? Are you not collecting those? 😀

It's not terrible. But the digital display is small and there is no backlight. If this is an issue then you may want to look for something else, otherwise get it. It's relatively inexpensive.

I beat mine all over the place at work. It tells the time, you'd struggle to break it. Looks like a g shock and it's cheap. Worth having just as a daily wear.

The negative display is a feature but there's videos of them opening the watch and removing the polarizer.

3 out of 10? Are you crazy? 10 year battery life! Amazing! How many times I have no idea what time it is because my phone is dead. The battery is good for 10 years! Not even the $300 G-Shock watches can boast about that!
This watch got me out of a speeding ticket because of the TELEMEMO function. This is the ONLY watch (besides the ugly data-bank watch) that has this function! Not even a $1,000 G-Shock has 30 phone number data bank!
So I'm pulled over for speeding had lost my drivers license but I had put it into my phone so when I looked up the number on my watch the officer was so impressed he wanted to know the model of my $30 watch and gave me a warning instead!
It can store 30 phone numbers or 30 records of any text or number combination you want and when your phone is dead this thing will still be retrieving your data anytime you need for 10 years!
3 out of 10 is so short sighted especially since even at $10,000 to spend on a watch it won't have this capability!
When your phone is dead and you need critical data now for 10 years without fail this watch comes through!

It should be "up to" 10 year battery life if you pretty much don't use any functions. This watch also doesn't have a back light which would otherwise be a power drain. Personally I would favor the AQ-S810W, if you watched the video you'll know I am somewhat disappointed with this watch at its price point.
How to adjust the world timings,some country time is not correct in the watch
You may need to switch on or off the DST. Select the city then hold the adjust button (top left) until DST switches on or off. Hope this helps.

The review was going well, but than at the end a 3 out of 10 was way too harsh, and that's coming from a ridiculously picky Dude like me.

I agree with almost all of your comments but you failed to mention perhaps the most significant issue ( and the reason I bought mine). ITS CHEAP ! I paid 50 euro brand new in a box, for an accurate watch that resists water and I don’t care if it accidentally gets destroyed. 2 year written guarantee came with it. It’s not the most stylish of timepieces and it has limited functions but it does tell the time well and consistently. Maybe the battery will last 10 years, maybe it won’t, but at this price, who cares ? Perhaps I’ll get a different one in a year or so time if I feel like it. I paid over 25000 for my Rolex and feel that it needs to be guarded and cherished which is just another responsibility that I actually don’t need. Casio is Cheap and cheerful, no stress has to be a bargain in my humble opinion.

Ok I was a little disappointed in your video in regards to changing the analog time.
Buttons are from the top left to right A and B and from bottom left to right C and D.
In H-S (Hand Setting mode C to H-S then holding A button down till beep, now in change settings mode) you can push B and D buttons down at the same time and the analog hands will AUTO ADVANCE.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO HOLD THE D BUTTON DOWN CONTINUOUSLY TO ADVANCE!
Imagine the poor bastard holding down the D until his finger is about to fall off to advance say 12 hours! Ouch!
The only other time you use B and D simultaneously is when erasing a phone record.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO KEEP HITTING THE D BUTTON TO BACKSPACE (ERASE) EACH AND EVERY CHARACTER IN YOUR PHONE TELEMEMO TO DELETE A RECORD!
Again OUCH! to your finger if you had to do that! Very important detail!
Maybe I'm getting too old!... I have to keep watching 'how to' videos every time I need to set it! 🤯... hate the damn thing!
