Thank you engineer Jess Gorter for this presentation! To find the azimuth we select an hour and draw a line from the center of the circle through the 'hour' until the circle extremity and measur the angle from the north in clockwise direction. You presented mybe better way (for me). To find the sun altitude we select an hour and draw an arc centred on the circle centre from time selected until the line with in the angle measurement. YOU OPEN EYES WITH YOURS MODEL POINT OF VIEW because modeling ( by using your aspect ) the landscape enviroment of arhitectual project will be proven to be a quite efficient and easily visualised!
Good question! No, it should not be due east. Yes, it does matter: The red line is supposed to be directly under the line-of-sight towards the sun. Thanks, Jesse.
Sadly the solar azimuth does not help a child lost at the beach to find their parents. How would they find North ? Nope, rather use a reference to the front of life savers booth. Draw your reference arrow to it inside a tuna tin, starting from the center. Then draw an arrow towards the parents location. Let the child use sun shadow inside the tin to walk straight towards parent. No need for dangerous to kids GNOMENS. The lifeguard can provide further assistance when they see such child with a tin. Use a felt pen. Now you might not be able to navigate in rain weather, BUT THE CHILD WONT NEED TO SEE THAT SO CALLED NORTHERN PEAK AS A REFERENCE. REMEMBER A REFERENCE IS A REFERENCE AND DOES NOT HAVE TO BE TRUE NORTH.

Wow! That is great to hear, thank you for your message Anja.
The way how you explain is really amazing, easy to understand and your tone is such a relax!👍👍👍
Wow, thank you!
Thank you for the simple and informative videos. My new fave channel!
Welcome to the channel Hager!
At 2:44 is the red line supposed to be pointing due east at 90°, or does it not matter?
Good question! No, it should not be due east. Yes, it does matter: The red line is supposed to be directly under the line-of-sight towards the sun. Thanks, Jesse.
Thanks for the explanation I am myself a renewable energy engineer student
4:30 Is´t the sun between 270 and 0 degrees? We we calculated it differently before?
Can you do one for the moon 🌝 with the Azimuth please the TRUE degrees sit 🪑 right in the elongation of the moon 🌝 3:20
Temps d'ensoleillement et mesure angle ombre solaire par apport au ligne equateur
Imagine a line going in the opposite direction of the shadow. The angle between north and that line going clockwise is the azimuth angle. Good video.
Haha nice one, thanks Lawrence!
Thnak you for the video!
Great video. Thank you
You are welcome!
Thanks Jesse.. I like your vids. short and concise. By the way, do you provide Certificate of sorts after completing your a course?
Hi Dan! Yes indeed, all my courses come with the Certificate of Completion. Good luck and have fun!
I always here latitude. How does that correlate with azimuth and altitude?
If all PV points Azimuth electricity peaks at midday ....
terimakasih... 👍👍
Terima kasih kembali!
Amazing thanks
Most welcome 😊
pls can i gate the course
Yes you can! www.udemy.com/user/jesse-gorter-3/

Haha you got it!
It looks like God's flat earth with His firmament. Good job!
Could have explained better with a plane of paper
The EARTH IS FLAT AND STATIONARY!!! WAKE UP ALREADY OR DEAL WITH IT!!
It works perfectly on a flat Earth.
The horizon is a flat line and the altitude and azimuth angles are calculated based on that. The Earth is NOT flat :)
it's flat but dumbs are blind @@AA-zs7jw
It certainly isn't a flying ball of water chasing a ball of flames!@@AA-zs7jw
Research Flat Earth please
