- "So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish"
Time is money and money's time
We wasted every second dime
On diets, lawyers, shrinks and apps
And flags, and plastic surgery
Now Willy Wonka, Major Tom
Ali and Leia have moved on
Signal the final curtain call
In all its atomic pageantry
Bravissimo, hip-hip hooray
For this fireworks display
Mind and body blown away
What a radiant crescendo
Ticker tape parade
Our hair and skin
Like Marilyn Monroe
In an afterwind
Time is money and money's time
We wasted every second dime
On politicians, fancy water
And guns, and plastic surgery
Like our Prince and Reenie's mom
All the dolphins have moved on
Signaling the final curtain call
In all its atomic pageantry
Bravissimo, hip-hip hooray
What a glorious display
Melt our joyous hearts away
Under the mushroom cloud confetti
Hip-hip hooray
For this fireworks display
Mind and body blown away
What a radiant crescendo
Hip-hip hooray
Hip-hip hooray
Ticker tape parade
Our hair and skin
Like Marilyn Monroe
In an afterwind
Time is money and money's time
We wasted every second dime
On diets, lawyers, shrinks and apps
And flags, and plastic surgery
Now Willy Wonka, Major Tom
Ali and Leia have moved on
Signal the final curtain call
In all its atomic pageantry
A song about overconsumption and materialism, brought to you by mercedes benz
Think it was Maynard's way of giving a middle finger on national television.🤣
We have to keep the lights on man. Don't be so heinous. A lot worse corpos than MB.
@@crownstupid it's just the fact that there's a corporate logo there at all. It's not like it's BP but it's still a logo. I'm sure Maynard thought it was hilarious
You dont hear the positive undertones in this song? It's celebrating our mad, fleeting, pointless existence.
Any medium for a good message, or a bad one that ought be heard
I love beautiful melodies telling me terrible things - Tom Waits
I love Tom Waits telling me whatever he wants
Love this song! Such bright chords over such dire lyrics
just like placebo does it. dont wanna compare though, both are great
@@domokami447 indeed! Very similar.
I love this song 🎵
Still a guitar tech. Dat t shirt, such wow.
where is talk talk
What?
@@Syncopated_ "talktalk" song from apc last album "eat the elephant"
@@Faks.09 oh lol
Valdamort plays a great guitar.
Watching the protests this song came to mind. So here I am.
Same
42 💚🖖
Umm. Wow. Like, grandkids wow.
I guess this is as "Pop" as Maynard and Co. can get? Haha ...No Puscifer entries in that slot - just sayin
Maynard is like “shit. They can see me”
😂
@@McClain_Train 😂
Yea I always thought Tool had their singer in low to no lighting for a symbolic reason. Could we say A Perfect Circle has the singer with half their hair in the feminine and the other in the masculine for allegorical reasons without ambiguity?
It makes me wonder if they are conveying something that cannot be told, but must be come to one by revelation. If this is the case; could this be why so many people take the music for these bands so personally?
I remember having Maynard sign a few bottles of wine for me, I had this huge bulge at my pocket and while I was still in the entryway of his tent he was like, “hold up, what is in your pocket?” And I proceeded to tell him, and relief fell across his face. He then told me someone had a sawed off shotgun in their pants the week prior, tried to draw it on him but was thwarted.
that audience have no idea of what is happening in front of them, they are witnessing genius
Maynard’s voice control is incredible, even this far into his career.
* Especially this far into his career
@@OneMansLoss I think he's quite aware of how his voice has changed over the years. He knows what he's capable of and what he's not. Many singers merely assume they can just keep doing what their elastic vocal cords of youth allowed.
Is the audience dead 💀??!!! Nobody’s groovin to Maynard voice and sonic sounds of A Perfect Circle ⭕️
I’m sure none of them ever heard of a perfect circle. What a shame.
What a radiant crescendo
Wow! it sounds even better than the original recording. That song always gets to me.
He really reminds me of Tim Minchin when he's got that wig on lol
😂😂😂😂😂 I haven't heard of tim minchin since like 2008
How on earth can Maynard change his voice and be so perfect in each sentence,in every different song.Amazing unbelievable
This is his voice. His regular singing voice. It's fantastic. ❤
This song has grown on me a lot..
Such a great song, the first perfect circle song I fell in love with. So glad I can see a live video of it
The crowd had no idea what to do with that message. Lmao.
They had to be confused as fuck.
love this band so much i seen them front row at hulu theater nyc my mom threw her scarf on stage and billy kissed her hand true story
Billy is such an honestly kind and social person.
This song is beautiful.
How can one be happy and sad at the same time. You fools did it again! APC!
Its kind of nice to see the audience actually listening to the song!
I wonder if Jimmy Kimmel realizes that this song is about him.
This song is kinda like the other side of the song Ænima
Dude! I was just saying this! Like a much more in your face, lyrically. But the music is brighter and somehow even more haunting. I just love it so much haha
Remind yourself that he's not Voldemort 😂
They sold ZERO Mercedes because of this lol
I came for MJK but will stay for Billy Howerdell.
This crowd just doesn't get it
Ladies and Gentlemen, Howard Walowitz on the bass guitar!
That's clearly Anton Chigurh
mute and full body cast audience !!!!! that's a shame !!!
What a terrible fucking crowd, lmao.
Please get talk talk
Hahahahahah(deep breath)hahahahahaha. . .no
I love this song but it gives me blink 182 vibes.
Maynard spits truth from tv lol
probly sippin on that #figgi water thats been untouched by man
No one buy Mercedes anyway!😂
Hip hip horray
jay tea lol!!
Bravissimo
This reminds me of a pixies song it's fucking awesome!!!!
This audience did not get this song.
Clearly.
Maynard's cheeky smile right at the end spoke volumes. He knew it went "whoosh".
Or ... they were as awestruck as would have been if I were there. Watching A Perfect Circle is a once in a lifetime experience. You don't want to blink.
@Careful Icarus Yep. There in physical space only... their minds are wandering through their Facebook feed, feeling anxious because they might be missing something on their screens.
@Careful Icarus The Walking Dead was not totally fiction. It was prophecy!
@Careful Icarus ego-blinded millennials listening to a transcendental song. It's almost comical
Maynard sounds amazing here.
Que buena cancion...y que buena letra
This doesn’t sound like perfect perfect circle at all. I glad they are trying new sounds & chord progressions
Well this is A Perfect Circle, I dunno what you want.
Great tourist crowd on live tv in L.A. Even if you don't know the band or song, how can can you not be moved by it?
This is just so good
I thought this was gonna be the dolphin song from hitchhikers guide to the galaxy movie...i was wrong
Fantastic!
42!!!!!
@@lokidobbs3644 they panicked and forgot their towel.
Thanx Maynard
You can hear the exact moment the sign to applaud hit
No dis...Lurch on lead guitar, ladies and gentlemen!
That croud seems pretty 🌈
EPIC
Placebo? So sad...
He asked the crowd to not over react that’s why you don’t see anyone doing anything Maynard is a genius
Confetti? It’s your aether. Can you see it?
Çok güzel ❤
That crowd needs CPR

What happened too the other song?
awesome benz tune😁
Impecable!
The songs about the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. Love this song
Why do peoples love the cheese rock?
Ooph just seeing a Mercedes symbol, and Kimmel live branding all over this stage makes me physically ill considering the songs content. The irony of it is almost hilarious. This perfect sleek black stage with this symbology. With the sides of commercial buildings undecorated showing the reality underneath.
Sure it does. I'm sure you've got that puke bucket right next to ya
Is that James Iha on guitar and keyboard in the background ?
Yes.
@@ryehlb Thanks.
No it’s not. It’s actually Greg Edwards from Failure doing guitar and keyboard for this performance. James Iha was working with Smashing Pumpkins during this time and needed a fill in for some shows on this tour.
Anthem for the Boomer at heart 🥰🥰🥰
Pretty bad0
I hated this album too political for me
This sucks for me personally....
I can't believe they played my favoirte song..... I love you guys! So long and thanks for the fishes :) :) :)
Did Twiggy get plastic surgery? He looks practically respectable.
He’s not Twiggy! This is Matt McJunkins, who also played bass for Puscifer.
You could’ve also seen him play bass live for Eagles Of Death Metal.
He also plays with Jeff Friedl (the drummer) in a band called The Beta Machine.
@@polenta36 I guess my obvious sarcasm skills are malfunctioning. If Twig wanted to fix his...whatever it is with plastic surgery, he would have done it 15 years ago.
