Sweet build. A few ideas. Not sure but check your laptops voltage and see if it natively runs on 12 volts. If it does you can get rid of the power brick and inverter and buy a plug with the right polarization and right size online and run it straight 12 volts saving the conversion from 12 to 110. Also car batteries are not the best. Lithium would be best but expensive. You could use a trolling motor battery from a car place or Walmart instead. They are made to be drawn down and recharged. Car batteries not so much. Hope that helps and great looking setup. Hoping to have mine solar one day.
Yeah. I used these batteries because its what i had, otherwise i would have gone deep cycle or lifepo4, and my laptop is 19v, i have a surface pro 4 that runs off 12 which helps simplify my field kit a lot since i can just run it direct off my batteries in the field.
