Looks great, but I got kind of annoyed when your frame didn't include the feet. That's what makes it super cool in the movie. Overall good though gj
Thank you so much for the feedback as well as watching!
I agree. The dancers were excellent, but the camera was too close and didn't capture all their graceful movements.
Thank you for the feedback!!
Enjoyed very much. Yes the feet would have been sweet but the fluidity of the camera movement was spot on. Focus was a tad slow but the FEELING of it was very nice. Two talented stars. Nice!
I LOVE ALL OF THESE LALALAND TRIBUTES AND APPRECIATE EVERY SINGLE OF THEM! Thanks for the efforts of making this :)
Thank you so much for your support and for watching!!
I think this is really awesome. The lip-sync parts were flawless. You guys did bring out the charisma of Emma and Ryan.
Thank you so much!! Yes the two dancers worked amazing together!!
The guy looks like Ryan Gosling a lil bit lol
He does!! You will have just made his day with that comment - we will make sure to pass it along!
They have both got beautiful voices, and talent dancers. Please let us know if these two appear in any other clips.
Love La La Land and I'm glad to see people making tributes to show that they love it too!
this was perfect!!! the lip syncing, the location, and the dancing! also cant forget the amazing camera work!
PLEASE DO A TUTORIAL! I have been looking everywhere for a tutorial and I want to learn this dance sooo bad :D Love La La Land so much
Hi Dani! What is your contact info? I will send your info to the dancers :)
Muy bien estudiado, tanto los actores como cámara increíble trabajo. Que pena que no salió la portada de la película.
Born and raised in chi-town great cinematography for this parody of La La Land....Hands UP.......
Thank you!!! #ProudChicagoan!
Sooo cool!! and the guy looks like Ryan freaking Gosling!! 😱😱
Thank you!! He does!!! 😍
This is sweet
This is absolutely stunning! I like the way you filmed it, especially the lighting.
Thank you Mojo!!! Really appreciate it!
Nailed it.. nice work guys
NICE! So many good compositional changes in a ballsy long take, really cool lighting, great movement both actors and camerawork. Surreal.
Thank you so much! Our cinematographer was Scott Hilburn!
this guy works for US Army, he listens everything
I've seen several cover like this but none made it as good as yours! i especially love their expression and acts, all exacty almost like in the movie. I think the only thing lacking is the filming, other that that everything is perfect! Great job.
Thank you so much!!!!
nice dance
Bravo chi-town la la land......

Amazing camera movements!

Thank you so much!!
Amazing video, that was spot on!!! Love it!
Thank you Niu!!!! :)
Yeah the camera was a bit close but loved it anyway. Wonderful backdrop of Chicago.
My favorite part about this cover is that's not a cover!
Amazing! Totally loved it!
Thank you!!!!
Thank you so much! :)
The guy looks like the austrian chancelor, Sebastian Kurz xD
bollywood la la land?
Very good job, bravo!
Thank you so much!!!
awesome job! im surprised this doesn't have more views! im very impressed with the effort put into making this
Very nice, but why when the original is available?
Very nice, but Gimbal is only For steady shots. Glidecam would be awesome
This is my favorite remake of that scene. Great job! ❤️
That is so amazing to hear Gabriela! Thank you so much!!
Dancers/Actors did great! Color grading was amazing, although camera work could use room for improvement, BUT!!!!! I understand the challenge in catching focus on moving subjects in such a dynamic scene for being one take! Props for you camera man/focus puller in giving it a try! I would of not been able to do something as good as this!:) Props to everyone!
Amazing!! Does anyone know where specifically in Chicago this was filmed?
This guy is a mix of ryan gosling and John Travolta 😅
I like this even more than the original! Congratulations guys!
WOW!! What a compliment!!! Thank you so much Miriam!!!
I think you guys chose the wrong lense for this. Although the depth of field look wonderful and beautiful, the focus didn't really keep up with the fast paced dance. That's why the cinematographer picked clarity over depth of field and movebility. But non the less, it was a really great video!
Thank you for the feedback we appreciate it!! 🙏
That was great! Really nice work. Sad that the camera didn't catch your feet
What camera did you guys use for this? How did you achieve the colour? Thanks!
Hey there!! Here are your answers: www.joriki.com/la-la-land-lovely-night-dance-chi-chi-town/
AMAZING!
What camera did you use?
Hi Mary! Scott Hilburn, our Cinematographer, was responsible for all of that! His info is scotthilburn3@gmail.com if you want to shoot him a quick email :)
They dance amazing!!! but the camera is moving so much, and is hard to follow u.u. even so, i like it!
Thank you so much for watching and for the feedback Diana!
It looks great guys, congratulations!! What is the name of the park? Thanks!
How did you learn the choreography for this? I've seen a lot of covers and there's a video from the choreographer, but it only teaches a small section of it and watching the dance clip can only go so far with the subtleties of tap dance. I would love to know so maybe I could learn some of it! Great job!
Hi there! Here is a video that the dancers watched to learn: ua-cam.com/video/aFDGC1vEWGY/v-deo.html
Joriki thanks, but did they just watch it and learn from there? I find it sort of hard to know the exact steps that way and that's why I asked.
Yep they switched off from that video and the movie clip. It took a lot of time and patience!
Joriki okay, thanks for answering. I probably won't be able to figure out those steps, but that just goes to show how great your dancers are. Good job :)
Thank you!! Feel free to FB Emily Brand or Joe Capstick with questions!!
Where exactly in Chicago was this shot?
is that ryan gosling?(?
Was this by the Planetarium? I can't figure out exactly where it was!
Son las orejas mas raras que eh visto jejeejeje
Don't they feel cold?
They were freezing! We were all out there from 2pm - 7:30pm.
You guys should fire the cameraman
camera by is very bad
woman is very good dancer
and man is normal
Good but when they jump off the bench and start dancing we need to see their feet. Camera was too close.
They sound so like ryan gosling and ema stone. How come I feel like they are lip syncing?
I like it but u guys lip sinked
the costumes are awkward but nice location and lipsync
Oh God, I think it's a shame. You guys are amazing, I loved you. But the shot is awful. I know well how hard it could be, I do this job too. But the focus is always over, the frame does not include the feet (it's a dance, baby!) and some camera movement are really bad, I think so. For example, when at the beginning he is acting, his face isn't visibile cause the camera stays back. I don't want to offend anyone, but... really, I definitely LOVE this performance and I feel bad cause it's seem not professional only for the camera movements. And it could be the best one if you guys try another time. I love it. I love it, really :)
Thank you so much for the feedback!! We shot it a little different as we wanted one of the main focuses to be our yoga apparel and brand, Joriki, but this is all really great information to know moving forward. Thank you again and also thank you for watching!
Needs more feet.
Thank you for the feedback!
Ther dancers are great but the framing is poor. It ruins the performance..so sad.
Poorly filmed.
I thing it's the best cover about the dance. But I didn't like it. it seems like they just want to show they can just dance...
Diego Hdz. Ojeda huh? That makes no sense... finding worse dancers would have made it better? Lol
worst camera man ever
great dancers
Cant see the footwork. Meh
this was perfect!!! the lip syncing, the location, and the dancing! also cant forget the amazing camera work!
